In my opinion, Magneto was spot on with that remark. We saw that Mystique was tired of Xavier's remarks earlier on, and she wasn't alone.

Look at it this way. Imagine if the only X-Men movies there were were First Class, MAAAYYYBE DOFP if it got rewritten a little bit, Apocalypse, and Dark Phoenix, it would work really well.
I mean, it's a saga that relies on a lot of build-up. You might be able to pull it off with an MCU level of build-up for the Infinity Saga, but I just don't think it's very adaptable, especially not by the tools at Fox.

They have to deal with her and then the space aliens from the first film show up and want to kill her too.

No. The movie was so much fun. As a standalone movie, without continuity, it is great. Tbh if you look at the series as just First Class, Apocalypse, and Dark Phoenix it works really well as a trilogy.

Watching a movie cam-recorded is a blasphemy to movies, and watching it online is a disservice to its potential. You missed the beauty of the special effects and sound design that you can only get in a theater.
That aside... I don't understand the world anymore. People keep hating on pretty good movies and loving mediocre ones.
@@Ailwuful I mean, if you liked the movie, good, but overall the current X-men movies are not upto to the quality of the older ones; they come off kind of generic.
Having not seen the movie, I'm assuming they skipped the raunchy parts from the comics/cartoon, like where Gene basically dresses up like a domanatrix when she joins the Hellfire club, haha. The current X-men movies just don't seem to fit with the rest of the MCU, with how awesome it is right now. It's also kind of annoying that they keep redoing the Mutant Hate and Dark Phoenix story arcs over and over, and over... the X-men have soooooo many more stories to tell, but they keep picking the bland stories to tell.
3 years ago taking shots at game of thrones would have been a sin now you get applause. Good job D&D

What I don't get is why she was so mad at Charles after that when her dad literally stated that he didn't want her anymore after she accidentally killed her mom. And didn't even want to check in on her after giving her up to Charles as Jean read in his mind. Like, what? Charles did her a favor by taking her in when her dad basically disowned her.

No. The movie was so much fun. As a standalone movie, without continuity, it is great. Tbh if you look at the series as just First Class, Apocalypse, and Dark Phoenix it works really well as a trilogy.
@@rigatonipasta I heavily disagree. You're also forgetting DoFP which connects it to the X, X2, X3, Origins and Logan continuity. But film is subjective so if you enjoyed it that good.

don't worry.about spoiling any scenes or.........apparently not spoiling any scenes. I have zero interest in ever seeing this film. I doubt I'll even buy it on Bluray to complete my collection. It just looks that awful.
His scene in DOFP was absolute genius. "Apocalypse" you had to kinda suspend your reality a tad. "Phoenix"...5 whole seconds?! Words can't describe my contempt for this abomination of a movie. And I went in with an open mind--despite all the nasty reviews.
