- Cops receive a distress call about a suspicious person in a closed business. As the Cops investigate her vehicle, the woman in question can't keep her story straight. In this episode, the Cops investigate drug users and burglaries in progress.

That first cop, James Erickson, is almost 50 now, and a highly decorated officer -- he shot and killed a gunman at an office building in downtown Spokane, saved a suicidal man who was hanging himself from a tree, and received multiple commendations for valor, as well as the state Medal of Honor for heroism, among others. A great example of a dedicated public servant.

I used to be a heroin addict I’ve been clean from EVERYTHING including alcohol and weed for almost 20 years but I’ll tell you this NEVER was anyone so generous with their drugs that they just put their stuff in my bag. Back then I’d wish they would (unless the cops were there lol) but trust me if it’s on them it’s theirs. Now I’m a certified recovery specialist and I thank God daily that I’m free and I proudly support the police I once hated cause I thought they were out to ruin my fun.. really they were out to save my life

so for the guy that robbed the lady, I first thought it was a bit much when they kept yelling at him to let go of the dog that was biting him... But after hearing what he did to that lady, it was not enough.

Most extremely mentally ill people do not take their rx properly. They start to feel better then think they don't need it or they have paranoid delusions that they are being poisoned, controlled, etc.
Trouble with people who might have bipolar or schizophrenia issues- one of their behavioural patterns is avoiding their medication. They are crafty about a taking their medication. A lot of effort goes into avoiding. Difficult to talk to them to see reason+ for obvious reasons
@@saciji I have bipolar and take my medications more religiously than most of you here take Holy Communion. I don't like it when I go out of control because I never reach full mania. I go into what's called "hypomania" which for me is just a load of rage. I'm angry at everything. Heck, I'm angry at air for existing when I'm like that. You're right, though. Too many people with bipolar and nearly every person I've ever met with schizophrenia really don't stay on their meds, especially the schizophrenics. My late step-sister was a paranoid schizophrenic. It was difficult not just for her but for everyone else in the family to handle her. It wasn't really a problem until the Reagan administration stepped up the closure of larger mental facilities. Then she had to live at home, a situation for which none of us were prepared, least of all herself, and that's when her jail record began. It was the only safe place we could put her after the mental hospital in town closed.
It brings me to tears every time I see young people who turn to drugs and lose everything . One of my family members was a heroin addict and I took her to a camping site for two months which meant there was no chance of seeing other people or cars . Seeing that beautiful young woman looking like a skeleton and hugging her when every bone in her body was aching.. my husband brought food etc and she put two stone weight on. I hope and pray that parents and children don't have to go through this living hell .

The cop at 35:05 is out of control. Taunting the guy about a large prison sentence because of a pipe and his probation. Then threatening him over and over again. "If you call me dude again we are going to have a major problem."

I thought it was ironic. The first reflex any living thing has when something like a canine bites you is to reach for it or pull away. Because, y'know, intense pain + survival instinct. If it only grabbed his clothes, it would be easier to put his hands up. But a criminal is a criminal.

I can usually tell when they are lying because their mouth is running. Lol 3 siblings, and their combined children, 3 deceased all due to drugs use. I'm in my late 50s and only communicate with one niece. I have a rare disease that I have suffered with. It is infuriating that they were all born with the blessings of good health and destroyed it. The only good thing that came out of it was my daughter saw them during Thanksgiving each year and was able to see first hand what drugs do to someone's health, mind and life. Glad and proud to say she made good choices in her life.
My mom swore on my life so many times I should have been dead at 5 years old. 😂 lol

Mental illness is hell on earth for the people who love them. They don't have enough clarity to see how their behaviors effects everyone. My brother is 60yrs old, went into my niece's first job,at restaurant and tried to buy food with moonrocks. He has $20 thousands in the bank. Lives on the streets because he can't handle being inside a building for very long. They have to keep him sedated when he gets arrested. He Doesn't take his rx right so his caseworker got the dr to give him shots and told my brother that is the only way he can get his money. So he functions a bit of 4 days out of each month. He is dangerous.
@@babble2leeza My brother had moments - not always in attack mode, but very mentally ill, none the less. He used illegal drugs to self medicate because meds from a psychiatrist made him feel tired all the time. It was horrible. He died of a heart attack, by himself in another state, in an ER. To be honest - I know he is in a better place & doesn’t have to suffer anymore. It breaks my heart.💔

Yeah a lot of cops are super dumb, but it’s also because of training. They will ask every and anything they can to incriminate you and gather evidence. He’s probably trying to trip her up, if she wasn’t paying attention to what he was saying or she’s to wacked out or whatever, she might actually answer, regardless if she knows said drug dealer. The police can then add in their report
“I then asked how she knew the DRUG DEALER and she proceeded to say that they had met yesterday at the park” implying that said person is a drug dealer, the suspect knows the drug dealer, and didn’t question why the officer said drug dealer specifically. Get my points? I sure hope that’s what this cop is doing and he really isn’t that dumb lol.

If you will lose it bc you got spit on in the line of duty, to the point you overstep your bounds with physical violence, you don't have the temperament or discipline to hold that job. You can be mad, be disgusted, be insulted all you want, that's the human part. But if you take a position with the most troubled people in society, be prepared for the occasional spit, bite or insult.
As a teacher, I have been spit on many times. I have been hit, pinched, and even bitten. Also had furniture thrown at me and an intoxicated parent chest bump me into a corner. Ask me how frustrated that was and then ask what I did to them in retaliation. If yo can't stand the disgusting part of society, find another job. Join the military. Go back to school, anything else that is a better fit long term, professionally.

You as a teacher should also be respected for what You do but it's security guy's job to stop violent party from doing any harm (physical or psychological) sometimes with force. If you let people do whatever they want to you with no risk of being punished for it then there's something wrong going on here. They'll push the limits even further (others see they also can do whatever they want to you) and kids at school are very good example of it. Police Officers have to be strong and mark the boundaries of what people can and cannot do especially in tv show (I don't know if You've noticed but they show that very clearly that if You're cool and respectful towards them You're more likely to get off the hook. Who knows if they do that when there's no camera around - my limited experience with Police in NYC says that if You're cool they are also cool with You - but it also educates people). If you're disrespectful, violent and troublesome, they'll treat you just like you treat them (which is what some people only understand - example Putin and Ukraine). That guy in the video wasn't more violent than he needed to be and school should teach young people how to behave, with clear boundaries.
