- That Miltank was no joke. I felt I was both lucky and unlucky in this one. Unlucky because that Clefairy clearly graduated from "Clefairy says" with it's control over it's Metronome's. It's first usage of Metronome turned out to be a type that Bayleef was weak against. Then I was lucky when Clefairy's Doubleslap missed, and likely led to the win.

The answer is unfortunately not straightforward. It's a multitude of things, such as using a few pre-record filters like sharpen and a colour corrector. After I have the source footage I will edit the video, but I won't render it using my editing software encoder like many do. Instead I send the entire project over to a program called Handbrake using pre made scripts. Handbrake is an amazing program for shrinking the file sizes of your videos without you noticing any difference in quality. The smaller the file sizes uploaded to TH-cam, the less quality they can take away when they re-encode the video.
And then you have the final bit of the puzzle that can effect the quality of the video, and that's the codec that TH-cam uses. Avc1 is a codec that can make your videos appear pixilated, even if the render of that video turned out to be fine on your PC. VP09 is a much better codec with more quality options and will give you a much crisper image. Trouble is, not everyone is eligible to get the vp09 codec because you either need lots of subscribers, or a video that has lots of views. There are tricks that can enable vp09 but that's a different conversation.
