This was my mom's first Slayer album, when she met my dad he was into hair metal, and she told him you listen to that pussy metal! 😂😂😂 Always my favorite story from them.
Lying, dying, screaming in pain Begging, pleading, bullets drop like rain Mines explode, pain sheers through your brain Radical amputation, this is insane Fly swatter stakes drive through your chest Spikes impale you as you're forced off the crest Soldier of misfortune hunting with bated breath A vile smell, like tasting death Dead bodies, dying and wounded litter the city streets Shattered glass, bits of clothing and human deceit Dying in terror, blood's cheap, it's everywhere Mandatory suicide, massacre on the front line
The end of the song is absolutely fantastic. I saw many times Slayer live and always became almost crazy during the final part, but this specific performance is totally insane!
these four guys and their revolutionary music changed everything for me when i was a young man. i'm older now, of course- but i can't find anything about Slayer's works that seem dated, or rehashed, or worn out. it's as savage and fierce today as it was forty years ago. Given the amount of distress that my parents exhibited when i would bring a new Slayer record home... i'm a little disappointed that my own child hasn't brought home music that's either terrified or distressed me. but to be fair, after growing up while listening to, and loving, and memorizing album after album, there isn't much that my son's favorite music artists could ever do that could compare to the savage mastery of Slayer. thanks for a lifetime of fun, thought, and learning, Slayer.
Que fue esto ????? Aun no me recupero! Dave es la fucking maquina de hacer locuras con los pedales y baquetas, las guitarras legendarias y el relato de tom.
I have been following Slayer since Hell Awaits. The original line.up is killer. Tom. Jeff. Dave. Kerry. I was lucky saw them in Their best years. No disrespect to Paul. He's a great drummer but he is not Dave. There was a certain magic he brought to the band. I rank Dave in top 5 ever. Easy. You can pick the order. Peart. Bonham. Moon. Mcbrain. Lombardo. Slayer is an incredible band. Best justified live. We all know The Four Horsemen are king and we'll deserved but the Reign is pretty fuckin good too. 🤟
I love how the ending of this song sounds live. Always so chaotic, perfectly describing war. And of course Tom, nearly crying out the lyrics. Awesome!
Insane!

Your mom is a badass.

@@askosuomalainen1474 and the way he delivers the lines here, just wow. It can give PTSD.

I’m trying to think of who tops Slayer and can’t think of anyone. 🤷
I got like number 666 fuck yes.
No Jeff no Dave no Slayer
Top Slayer = best hard rock since Led Zeppelin's peak years IMHO. Dave = new Bonham. AWESOME! Killer Song!
