- This video is part of a complete audio upgrade in a 2016 Toyota Tacoma Double Cab. In this video series we are adding our plug and play amplifiers to the stock Toyota head unit (stereo), upgrading the front and rear door speakers and adding a ported subwoofer box.
In this video, we will show you how to remove the front door panel so we can install aftermarket speakers. We will be mounting the plug and play amps under the driver side seat. Using our plug and play harnesses along with our plug and play amplifiers, we will take this stock vehicle system and boost the power from 18 watts to 70 watts RMS to each speaker. In addition, we will be adding a couple of different subwoofer options.

Ok can u hook up the 2way speaker to the passive crossover and the tweeter still work , on a 3way passive crossover can u hook up 2 - 6 1/2 to it thanks

Is this wiring harness kit also available for the 2010 Toyota Tundra?
I am not getting the install, you plugged mid-range into the original harness, then you have 4 wires from the tweeter. 2 for power 2 for the tweeter, where did you get other 2 wires from?
Your right, where did the other two wires connect too?
The 2 wires coming in are the power source from the Radio, so power from radio is coming in, going out to the Subwoofer/ midrange, and then to tweeter.
This is confusing and missing important information. Sucks!!!

Ct sounds. Great output and very budget friendly. You can order them direct from CT, or get them off their Ebay store. Just search CT sounds
replace the stock tweeters with the Subaru upgrade tweeters made by Kicker...they are plug and play for you 4 Runner, cost about $95 dollars on Amazon and make a huge difference in sound quality.
Any front/rear speaker upgrade -and you’re gonna want to run an amp. Even with no sub, a good 4-channel will make those upgrades speakers shine.
If i install crossover coming from the amp. Does it have to come out from where the speaker connectors?
Which one is the positive on the tweeter wire

I didn't see where you guys change the center dash speaker, did you discontinue using it?
Why not just add 6" to the tweeter leads to avoid the butt splicing? Seems like you could make up the crossover without the butt splice, and cut off a bunch of that excess power/woofer cable.
Ok I understood it at first but when you get to 7:00 he showing different wires an now I’m all confused all over again
agreed, its like he cut out a very important piece of info, is the connection from the tweeter to xover teed off from the tweeter to factor harness?
