My opposition is a bunch of 8-12 year olds with gel blasters. They're short and skinny, but they're fast and disrespectful. I underestimated them last summer but I won't make that mistake again.
Great first video. I agree with your take on COMSEC and the threats. I think one thing that has to be looked at is what degree of SHTF are you in, and also your location/topography. I practice DFing and monitoring for a worst case SHTF as a part of my COMSEC plan. I also live in a smaller rural town with lots of open ground for miles around me. Much different than a urban area. I'm not so much worried about the Feds as I would be groups who would at some point look to rape and pillage. Being able to get a good direction from radio signals and hear what the convos might be would be something worth doing. The higher level groups will most likely have good COMSEC which will make them hard to detect. The groups with little discipline will make it far easier to detect and locate. Detecting others in advance is just one part of a much larger COMSEC plan. It 100% is not foolproof by any means, just one more tool in the toolbox. Thanks for what you do Scott. You are an asset to the radio community !!
Interesting perspective on topic, I use this method . Possible, probable and most likely for making plans. And just keeping it simple. I plan on watching the series as you post them up.
Ranchers living near our southern borders have had to organize and cooperate for their own mutual survival! Fences destroyed. Live stock lost or stolen. Gun fights with drug runners! So, yes! There is a very real need for Secure Communication.
I'm about 5 minutes in, and judging from the number of times I have LOLed, I think this is content I've been looking for. Subscribed.
I just love your channel and it's such a breath of fresh air to listen to someone with common sense give advise!!!! Keep them coming!!!!
Looking forward to the series.
Your maturity is very appreciated. 🍻🇨🇦👍
