James 4:14 ..life is like a vapour...for your reference. I am an ex-sg late 70s. My advice to you is live each day as your last and live each day as best and happy as you could: enjoy the joy of your loved ones daily. Health is one thing and unforseen mishaps are another. Don't have to be rich to be happy!!!!
    Cheers.

Thats why they say rich people are especially scared of dying. The poor actually dont see a need to live that long. Nothing to live for. Loo, can live until 70 very good already. You bring nothing to this world and you bring nothing with you when you die. Live so long if in misery it is pointless. You wanna enjoy your wealth then do it now and spend it all before anything happens.

Don't live to be a burden to your children. The older u get, there is increased risk of heal issues.
Instead of cpf life, u can consider putting money into a property in investment which enjoys capital appreciation and rental income. After u move on, the property can be passed on to your children. Can't do that with CPF Life. Think for the good of your children.

I recently developed very bad case of constipation which then involved A LOT of bleeding too - every single time I passed motion. This happened over the 2 months I was forced to stop lifting weights to recover from an unrelated injury. The constipation stopped a day or two after I resumed lifting weights again (in particular weighted barbell squats), and the bleeding completely disappeared less than 2 weeks after. I later learned that squats help strengthen abdominal wall muscles and the diaphragm, which play an important part in the process of passing motion and helps with regular bowel movements.

Death will certainly come to everyone whether you are rich or poor. Our passing is not about how much money we have but rather what good Legacy you leave behind for your love ones to remember and learn from. Many of us do not plan for retirement and I’m sure many of us do not plan for death either. But what we can do for ourselves is to educate oneself on how to rely on our own money rather than leaving a burden for your love ones to take care of you. At the end, I would prefer to leave a purposely life rather than a life with full of regrets. Take care and God Bless 🙏

When you're older, you need to be more discipline in your diet and cant eat like when you're young. U dont really have much to spend. I personally dont think the world will last more than 15 years at the rate we are going. So start finding meaning in life is more important than dreaming about spending future money. 😂😂😂😂😂

A lot of people are misled about longevity...
If they read about CPF LIFE, they would have read 1 in 2 persons may live beyond 85. They would have missed out a short phrase ie 1 in 2 persons WHO LIVE PAST 65 (start drawing cpf life) will live to 85. What this means is that if 30% of people die before 65, then the actual percentage of people who live to 85 is only 50% × 70% = 35%.
Also when people say the life expectancy today is 85, they are referring to a baby born today having an expectancy of 85 yo.

Live life as if it’s our second last day and save enough for the next day(s)!

I want a happy life and not a long life. My simple defination of happy life is to maintain your health as young as it could be (mentally and physically). When you are at 70 your health could be in their 50 (an example hypothically). However, nature will definately take its toll one way or the other, physical health will definately get degraded over time. But as a person, your happiness may anchor at a certain criteria (define by individual) of your health acceptance for happiness. Beyond which you may and are not going to be as happy as before due to natural health impose limitations. There will come a time where you just do not wish to continue living in the state of health deterioration. A person can take and overcome challenges in many ways but will not be able to overcome the challenge of nature of our body. So do your best and live to the very best and be happy.

The true riches of life lies in the present moment because this is where all good things happen - not the future , not the past, but the present moment. The present moment is where you live your life every second of the day. This is where your riches are accumulated and spent. If you live your present moment well - with appreciation, kindness and compassion - you will know what real wealth is. As you lose your present moment, you are racing towards your goal of 100 years old.

Unlike RA, interest earned in CPF Life don belong to u. This is 1 point everyone has wrong thinking abt cpf Life
CPF Life is annuity, a risked-pool fund.
Interest earned in this fund belongs to nobody & everybody, not jus u.
Interest earned in CPF Life is used to pay for those who outlive.
Basically the mthly payout is solely frm your 6 digits minimum sum, ie BRS, FRS or ERS, without the 4.14% compound interest.
Thus by the time u die, eg 20 yrs time, how much u tink is left for ur NOK to collect? Think again

Mr Loo, i honestly do not agree that if we believe we can live a long life,it will happen. Bcos life is unpredictable as the weather. Bruce Lee is so superhuman fit & invincible, he just died suddenly at 32yo bcos of an allergy to a painkiller. Unbelievable isnt it?
Our 1st PM Mr Lee KY & his wife didnt died of cancer but their eldest son LHY had 2nd stage lymphoma. Why?
So life is like morning dews that evaporate quickly as soon as the Sun rises.
Pls live life meaningfully every moment. Use your talents to bring positive values & contribution to others .Rather than living to 100 y.o bcos of $1.6m or $16m. You will be far happier knowing u have made a difference to others.
As LKY said " everyone must die some day, but i am prepared to die for a cause worthy of our life." And today modern Spore has become his legacy.😊

If you and your wife think that taking advantage of the CPF Life system to maximise your withdrawal amount , then both of you quietly go and do it. But not telling the whole Singapore to follow your selfish act and advocate such selfish thinking. Government is trying to pool together all the CPF members’ money and convince the insurer to come out with this insurance to cover all CPF members’ twilight years and until they kick the bucket. We shall not instigate CPF members to take advantage of the loop hole, if there is one, and as a result create additional set of problem for the insurer or the Government. If you have better idea how to run the CPF Life system more effectively, you are most welcome to suggest to the world (Singapore).

do not always think and teach people about making $ here and there . health is the most important after 50. Be contented in life because not everyone can live beyond 70 or 80
plan and plan but can say good bye before 70 or 80

Sell the house & car, put into compounding interest FD 4.1% (Malaysia have this rate promotion), 20 years down the one will have over $1.6m plus monthly salary deposit amount $1,500, 60-65 age a good plan. Not plan too late. 70. Most people lifespan 75 is a good year most people die. Don't cheat you can live till 90-100 years. When one lifespan is reached, its not one can plan how healthy one is, its your soul longevity. I too have try to extend my father life health and hope for his longevity but his lifespan is over at 75, I was blocked 3 months failing to care for his health just 3 months, he is gone. You can plan to live long through the spiritual cultivation (vertical way) combined a healthy life.

Since I am here, like to share this small data collection I had through news report from Jan 24 to Oct 24 about Singaporean dying alone in residence only to be discovered days later.
    50 to 59yrs old : 07 (6M,1F)
    60 to 69yrs old : 12 (10M,2F)
    70 to 79yrs old : 08 (5M,3F)
    80yrs n above :02 (1M,1F)
    Food for thought isn't it?

sorry the int accrued will still b yours until 65 when u decide basic, std or escalating. if u decide basic, the accrued int still yours until it is use to buy the annuity ie when the balance is 60k n all go to annuity and u get very much less every mth.. for the other 2 plans 80-90% of ra go the plan, n so no accrued int from this 80-90%.

I did a quick calculation if I put in a bank or some sort of investment that's yields me 5% monthly compound for 15 years ...say if I start at 55 with $450000 I'll end up with $1157000 at 70 years old .....then I start withdrawing the interest each month which is $4822 a month for the rest of my life even if I die at the age of 110 which is possible I will still have this money in the bank account and if I pass it on to my kids they will still enjoy this $4822 a month for the rest of their life and so on ....which is a better deal ? Of course I know it's not that simple ......😂😂

Your plan is based on assumption of a life span that is way above the healthy life span of average =) males in Singapore.
