I remember one of these in blue without the conti kit parked on a driveway when I was a kid walking to school. I was impressed then as now and love this one.
@garrettbenson7743 DAAAANNGG THAT'S A SWEET DEAL. WHOEVER CAN AFFORD IT WILL BE VERY LUCKY. IM PLAYING THE LOTTERY EVERY DAY, IF I GET LUCKY I'LL BUY THIS BABY QUIK
Now THAT is a Continental Kit! Plus fender skirts and whitewalls. The very essence of the '50s. Real classic. I'm sure they upgraded the valve system, which was "suspect" on those engines.
My first car was a 58 Chevy Del Rey with a 6 and 3 on the tree. I paid $35 for it in 1972 and it ran great. The only problem is this year has a cheesy yoke design that connects with a bushing to the back of the differential. The bracket on the back of the differential would rip out from the torque and would have to get it welded every other week.
The 58 looks best without dragging a Diving Board behind itself 💋!

the Continental kit is too much cheese
Makes the price go up a bit
Thunderbird got rid of theirs - made the car too rear-heavy and adversely affected the handling.
😂
