- August 2021 we did a review at the Holywell Bay Holiday Park operated by Park Dean in Cornwall. Located near Newquay, Holywell Bay is a perfect UK holiday spot for families. Situated 10 minutes from the beautiful Cornwall west coast and the beach of Holywell Bay the location couldnt be better.

Its great seeing the tide rush backwards like that, a first for me. The park was really good and the girls loved the arcades.

The slide is good if your a kid, fat men like me need to push themselves down 😅😅 the park was pretty decent and perfect location.

Best thing I got for the channel. When I watch a channel with drone footage I always imagine them been more professional. You should get one, you have awesome scenery that you can capture using it.
Great review. I've been there three times,, with parents in '79, then again in '80. Enjoyed it so much, went again with my own kids in 2009!
Interesting / dull fact, the path that leads out of the park to the beach used to be the main entrance to drive into the park before that zig zag new one!

we actually looked at his park because of how close to Newquay it is but it was all booked up. Caravan looked similar to the one we had in yarmouth. some great shots of the area in this video. glad you had great holiday
If you get chance its worth going, not quite as good as an Haven site but still decent. Beaches are beautiful. We have a Newquay video to edit, there is a park and ride thats only £4 so definitely worth a visit.
@@gettingoutwiththekids yeah we last went to Cornwall when my wife was expecting lacey and we stayed in tintagel. We went to Newquay for the day and did the zoo and we said we will go back. It's was hatd to book anywhere this year as everywhere booked up. Scarborough was last minute.
@@SharpeysWorld we booked this one last year when we were in St Ives last year. If we hadnt got turkey booked next year we would be going back Cornwall.

Its an amazing bay, we keep looking at properties now, just a dream I suppose as they all like 3x our current house value haha. I love that shot as well, you dont expect it like that in the UK. You should go Cornwall if you havent already.

The drones are amazing, love getting mine up for some footage. Cornwall is awesome, definitely booking it for a staycation. Be some drive for you I guess.

Having a room for the kids and a room for the parents is so much nicer aye... We are slightly worried about sharing such a small space together when we are caravaning next year... Yikes... This place looks really nice though.
The weather was nice mostly. It rained during the night mainly so we got lucky. The caravan was nice and spacious, i imagine its going get tight for you guys but you will manage to find a way of making it happy for everyone
Just got back from this holiday park, stayed for 4 days. Weather was pretty nice and was kinda quiet. The walk is lovely to polly joke beach once you've climbed up the sand dunes 😆Re-booked for Sept as they gave is a £50 off voucher. Might try the Haven Perran Sands holiday park next year. 👍
Not tried Perran Sands but we did stay Riviera Sands in 2020, that was a good park. Heard good things about Perran though
Does anyone actually ever use an ironing board anymore? Haha! You kids and your drones... I need to invest in one next year for sure. So cool the outdoor movie! Love it! How convenient that the walk is right past the pub too ;) Great looking place to take the family for a little getaway!
Kate uses them, shes obsessed with ironing where i spent more money on non-iron work shirts to save me 30mins a week haha. Definitely get a drone, they awesome. Think of the drone shots of you paddling along a lake. How are you and the family?

Hi, we stayed in a Penhallow Caravan. It was booked through Hoseasons if I remember correctly. The extra space is definitely worth it. Hope you have an amazing time, I know we did. Highly recommend going watch the sunset at the beach 🙂

Hi thinking of coming here in June with my partner and 3 kids aged 7,4,1. Is there enough to keep the kids going on site ?.
Planning on going for 2 weeks, unsure between this park or the parkdean newquay
Hi Jordan, I would say so yes. The pool area is nice and its heated, there is 2 play areas, the little arcade and evening entertainment. There was also a small sports area too.
We spent most of out time off camp though, travelling to Newquay and Hollywell Bay beach. Maybe check those videos out too. 😁

I've never been to Cornwall, is this the best family holiday park or do you rate a different park higher instead?
We have been twice, this site is the better of the 2 locations as the beach is amazing and so close to Newquay which isna great town. The other time we used a Haven caravan site, the site was better and location good but not as good. The haven site is also on the channel, are you thinking of going?
@@gettingoutwiththekids yeah, but my kids have just turned teenagers so the experience is a bit different if you know what I mean. We've been to Haven Devon cliffs in the past (best holiday park we ever stayed at) & I've told them no where else will probably match there. I know parts of Devon but ain't got a clue about Cornwall! lol.
@@bengejuknowit3048 I did Devon as a child and Haven do tend to have better sites. I would recommend staying near Newquay if you have teenagers, you are right next to the famous Fistral surfing beach. There is a good site we saw called Hendra, its right opposite the Newquay park and ride so you dont have worry about parking in town, however it isnt cheap.
