More than one million people live in my hometown, and there are a lot of entertainment in this area, but it’s a very safe city, so you can walk alone at night. I took in so much useful information from this lesson video. Thank you so much .😊
This is perfect. Thanks for sharing and combining clauses to make a long sentence : ) Note that "entertainment" is a non-count noun, so it's singular, so it should be "there is a lot of entertainment." Thanks for sharing Angel!
So glad you found this one helpful! I have a lot of videos about grammar, writing, pronounciation, vocabulary, and more, and am making more videos every week :)
I would like to start by acknowledging how good of a teacher you are, and my hometown is Sydney,Australia. Sydney is a beautiful city, yet it's expensive and busy, but I love it here.
Your lessons are always informative , so I never miss your lessons, but now-a- days as our college started I'm not able to follow up your videos. But on Sundays I'm trying to cover them and learn something new from every video that you make. Thank you so much!! Ma'am, for providing such useful lessons.
Addis Ababa is my hometown. More than five million residents live there, and the cost of living is high relative to other towns in Ethiopia, but it is still interesting living in Addis Ababa.
Adverbial conjunctions are coming soon (I think the next video), so stay tuned! They are a little tricky, but once you know the rule, they are easy and fun to use. I love them. 😀
Hi, Jenna! Happy Saturday! How are you doing? I hope my note finds you well and that school break has officially started for you by now -- which means some well-deserved and much needed vacation time for you! 😃 Anyway, I just watched your video and wanted you to know that I've found it so useful and so clarifying! Thanks for this great lesson, and I hope you have a fantastic weekend! Stay safe and best wishes to you! :)
@@LearnAcademicEnglish Sounds like an awesome plan to spend the Holidays with your family in Brazil after nearly two years! Wish we could meet in person for a cup of coffee and catch up. Happy Season's Greetings to you as well! If we don’t get to speak again before New Year’s Eve, I wish you, your family and loved ones a healthy, prosperous, joyous and successful 2022! Take care and best wishes!
I don't think I'll be in Sao Paulo much. My sisters-in-law don't live there anymore, but if I'm there and have free time, I'll reach out. Happy New Year to you, too!
@@LearnAcademicEnglishNo worries, Jenna. If you happen to be in town, please let me know in advance -- I would certainly be so thrilled to meet up with you (only if you can, for sure). I just can't seem to remember off the top of my head whether I have already emailed you my whatsapp number or not. Well, just to be on the safe side, I will be sure to have it emailed to you shortly, so that you can reach out to me easily and promptly :) Have a good one!
If you have time, so we can see tomorrow I have a review session of statistic in the morning batch from 8:30 - 10:30. Does it correct sentence ? Thanks in advance
Rewatching the video, I have a question. What is the difference between subordinating conjunctions and coordinating conjunctions? I know the examples of both, but I wanted to know the difference between 2 natures?
They basically serve the same purpose but the grammar is different. Subordinating conjunctions form a dependent clause, while coordinating conjunctions just join two clauses. Subordinating conjunctions can come at the beginning or in the middle of a sentence, while coordinating conjunctions only go in the middle (i.e. the clauses can't be flipped). Also, subordinating conjunctions tend to be a little bit more formal. I hope that helps!
Hello! Coordinating conjunctions and conjunctive adverbs are different because they use different punctuation. Please watch my video about how to use conjunctive adverbs (how to use However, Therefore, etc.).
I'm living in London, and I have been here since my childhood. I didn't like the tea, so I drank water. I could go to Amsterdam or I might attend the meeting
I usually live in Nigeria. It has pleasant places and unpleasant places. You can visit the club or the restaurant but at any place you may visit always have in my that you need to be careful
Good job! Note that you need to add a comma before "but" because it's a compound sentence. In other words, there is a subject and verb on both sides of "but." :)

No, it's not correct. You can't combine 2 clauses with "if" and "so" together. Try again :)
