    Dear visitors, please mind that I don't use Google+ with this account, so I am since 2014 not able to answer any comments or posts here anymore. I don't want to upgrade my channel to G+. End of July 2015 Google has announced to remove the enforcing of using G+ for TH-cam users, but so far without any effect.

    Ludwig Streicher's version has always been state of the art for me. But what Bozo does here is simply incredible. Not to mention the beautiful orchestration... Bravo 👏

      Still haven't figured out how he does that. I guess a lot of slow practice. It looks like he's actually articulating every note like you'd have to do at a slow tempo... Yikes

    I love the orchestration Bozo! (For instance the horn echo) And of course your performance is brilliant and beautiful, and the recoding is very nicely done!
    (Mikyung Sung plays it beautifully too, from the Bradetich competition, but it’s only with piano and the recording is not so good.)

    Spectacular technique, but try to dance to this tarantella at this speed. Beats the whole point of calling it that.

    • @bozoparadzikcom
      @bozoparadzikcom  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That is absolutely true, the tempo that I have played here hasn't got much to do with the real tempo of Tarantella. I don't even remember when have I heard anyone to play Bottesini's or Glière's Tarantella in the real tempo of Tarantella. These are also composed such way that they can be played considerably faster... so that is probably the reason why most of people are doing it. The only Tarantella for double bass compost such waited just has to be played in proper tempo I know about is František Hertl's, from four pieces for double bass and piano. 🤗

    Sounds like the people are trying to outplay their stand partners and bozo has to play louder.

    • @matthewv789

      Hari Rau-Murthy always a danger with the bass, it is not a loud instrument and is easily drowned out by piano or orchestra.

      The orchestra plays very fine. Many bass concertos (also this one) are instrumented too massively, so the soloist simply must play with full sound most of the time. But the balance here is realistic, I don't push the bass volume higher with spot microphones, I usee them just for the focus, maybe 5% in the mix.
