I had the chance to know him personally since 1996, and in recordings since the 80's when I started to play the Double Bass! one of the best things that happen in my life! :-)
There is no man who for so long and at such a level playing bass.
The greatest bass player of all time, completely unique man.
My hero- he makes bass playing fun. I always feel better suffering through my practice after seeing and hearing him play with such joy.
and with such ease too! I guess that's what 50 years of experience grants you.
Still a fantastic player-and still a total corn-ball! Love him.
