You need to react to full metal alchemist brotherhood openings. It's literally the top rated anime in the world and you still haven't given it a chance yet.
Ok Im back on day 4 of asking tony to listen to silhouette by kana-boon, I was away for the last couple of songs due to me forgetting bout me asking (kinda gave up hope bout it) but I’m back now
It's criminal that the official soundtrack leaves out the incredible violin solo. That part is listed as the "instrumental" version of Memories of You but the credits of Persona 3 Reload blend both versions together so well
@@ChrithBraown Not exactly sure what exactly it is that I said that would prompt you to take offense, but pop off, I guess. Could just as easily have assumed I was including you in the "many people", and saved yourself the comment.
For context, this plays over the ending credits and has melodic motifs from other songs from earlier, specifically "memories of school" and "memories of the city" It's bittersweet as all hell.
One of the very few games that made me cry, like not a tear, UGLY CRY AND ALL. I sat there, barely seeing the screen through my tearing eyes and thought "what an amazing experience I just had". I knew the song from before playing the game but it just hit different there. The themes and lessons this game taught me will forever stick with me. Burn your dreads folks.
TRUE! i finished reload knowing basically every major spoiler and the song, yet when i played it for the first time i felt really sad, crying a little. but hearing this at the end really got to me
This is the end credits song, and There's a lot of emotional weight upon this track that carries over from the finale of the game, and its my favorite end credit song, second favorite being "our light" from Persona 5 Royal, which i recommend you react to as well
When this song started playing, I was crying. I cried like never before the day I finished this game. Listening to this track is something painful and at the same time beautiful for me, it is an experience I will never forget. Those little piano notes mean so much to me.
Finished the game last night and to me the beautiful thing about this song is the motif at 3:11 is reused for the song “Joy” which plays every time you hangout with your friends throughout the game. So when you hear this song in the end credits, it’s sonically reminding you of all the times you spent after school with your buds but now with lyrics that reinforce that feeling. 😭
Also if you listen to other songs you can hear this songs motif in almost all of them. You can hear it in “Joy, Because I will protect you, and color your night if you listen to the first notes of each song.
This a farewell song for our protagonist. An end of the session or story. It is bright because it was theme in Spring, where school days end in Japan. A long but short journey, to memorize.
One of my favourite songs from the Persona series, it always manages to get a tear out of me. Persona 3 is a classic now (I'd recommend you to check out the original Persona 3 version, although this one is still a banger). By the way, this song is full of motifs that are presented throughout the game in other pieces of the soundtrack, like in "Memories of the city", "Memories of school" and some other ones that I can't remember at the moment. The themes have different variations but it's really satisfying once you can recognize them and listen to this song, where all the motifs appear once more. I don't know if I'm making sense (English is not my first language) but I really recommend to check out the whole OST, it's pretty amazing and full of little details. Thank you for this video Tony! :D
I would recommend looking up the translated lyrics of this song. The original composer Shoji Meguro calls this song his magnum opus. It's a very bittersweet song to match a very bittersweet story.
when i played through the original persona 3 for the first time a few years ago and the song kicked in, i sobbed uncontrollably for like an hour straight and cried on and off for another day or two
Hearing this back again after some years knowing the context of the song is just so beautiful. It reminds me of a whole hearted eulogy in a funeral and it destroys your soul with the feeling of a grateful but sad goodbye expressed through the raw emotion of the vocals and harmony of the instrumentals. I strongly recommend reading more about the lyrics or just playing the game because it makes this absolute masterpiece of a song just so much more powerful than it already it is.
It's such a beautiful track. I get goosebumps whenever I hear it. The quintessential Persona 3 song. It encompasses the themes of the game entirely. Living life, and being aware that death is an inevitable end but enjoying the journey that each soul takes. The song takes on another life of its own once you read the English translation of the lyrics.
I think you should also listen to the persona 4 ost! The opening songs (Pursuing Your True Self, Shadow World) are very good, and some of the background music (Backside of the TV, Heaven) for the dungeons really just hits the spot. Obviously, there’s still the normal background music (Heartbeat, Heartbreak & Signs of Love) that is awesome too.
when you dig into songs like these man i'm just sitting at my computer and smiling when you notice all the cool stuff i do. makes me really happy. thanks.
Hey Tony! Glad you love this song! I would reccomend checking out the intrsumental version of this song as it is likely more up your alley I would say. Excited to see more content in the future!
Thanks for breaking this one down. It’s nice actually knowing what’s going on since every time I listen to it I can’t hear it over the sniffles and crying noises
the composer of this song and the entire soundtrack of persona 3-5 said that this was his magnum opus, so happy the remake’s composer did his work justice

Persona is the only Video game franchise that leaves me with a tear once I finish a game from them I get emotional. For context I'm not an emotional person.
