    About:
Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band’s first tour in 10 years ended with an emotional series of 10 concerts at New York’s famed Madison Square Garden. Live In New York City, featuring performances from the last two nights of that tour (chronicled partially in an Emmy Award-winning HBO special), captures “the heart-stopping, pants-dropping, house-rocking, earth-quaking, booty-shaking, love-making, legendary E Street Band” as Bruce and his blood brothers embarked on an exciting new musical chapter together. Now, for the first time, this magical program comes to TH-cam in its entirety for fans new and old to experience.

Most underrated Springsteen song. Had it been released in this format, as opposed to acoustic, initially then it would probably get more love. But it's still up there for me.

Nils Lofgren has always had a headliner's presence and charisma (and talent), even when playing the role of sideman. I'm glad he remained part of the E Street Band when Springsteen got the old gang, including Van Zandt, back together. Clearly, there was room for all of them.

Unfortunately I wasn't there but much like you I only began to appreciate Bruce's soul driven talent while seeing the compilation of several nights in New York, concert video! Many of the songs chosen to be included on the video were unfamiliar to me, as I wasn't much of a fan, UNTIL!!! The intense spirituality of every song included and the combined extraordinary talents that make up The E Street Band, totally blew me away! Also the excellent audio quality of the live performances put the icing on the cake for me! Hence my posted comment 3 yrs ago!

A devastating attack on the callousness of the rich and powerful. Their sons died in Vietnam and Korea and now they've had their lives ripped apart because it suits people with more power than they have. What did their sons die for? And again however, I don’t like Bruce gets overly gritty, he was his best in the 80’s when he sung really pure. Hope to see both of them again soon once this overblown pandemic is finished. That’s if governments allow it to. Did you know many states in the US count non related deaths as covid if they simply tested positive? For example car crash or suicide. It’s sad. I'm French. I live in a valley that is called " The valley of Angels " 'Coz all the of the towns there are named with "ange" at the end, which means Angel. The same story goes here. From 150000 jobs to nought over 10 miles in 50 years. 2000 jobs/ mile / year destroyed. I'm also part Scottish, west coast, where the coal & iron indutry packed it up. My Father's a German teacher, so I saw what happened to the Ruhr Valley, stronghold of heavy industry. I listen to this song and I cry EVERYTIME. Got family in Ohio and a Pastor friend in Struthers just next to Youngstown. Only darned shed I saw was from a FRENCH company. Miles of rubble. WHERE THE F**K DID WE GO WRONG ? Some things are VITAL, you just don't let them go. How do you fight without steel ?

Nicolas, not sure I grasp all of your post, but I think I could summarize (for French, Scottish, and German workers, in an American context)..." we gave our sons to Korea and Viet Nam; now we're wondering what they were dying for." Any war, any time, is advertised as "to preserve our way of life...". Springsteen, I think, is asking, "what about when we preserve YOUR way of life, then you destroy OUR way of life?"
