Year round cabin close to Helsinki

Not all Finnish cabins are only 'summer cottages'. Some newer ones might be built for year around use like this one. This is a rental that is located in Nuuksio National Park, only about a 45 minute drive from Helsinki!

I grew up with a wood fired sauna at home. Every Friday night friends of my parents would come over for sauna , sausage cooked on the Leo Nippa stove and cold beer. Man, that was the best of times.. Then, playing cards for hours afterward.
