    Why does the best instrument always have to be broken. It's so rare to find a perfect condition bass clarinet. You did amazing as well☆

      Honestly though, both bass clarinets I have had in the past were both broken in some form.

    Great job! Just wanted to say that all school instruments should be checked regularly by the band director to make sure they are in top playing condition. Also some of the responsibility does lie on the student as well. If it just happened in a concert that is a totally different issue. Band directors should also be checking that mouthpiece ligatures and reeds they are playing on are the correct ones both for the player, and right for their instrument they are playing.

    • @ericklemm7430
      @ericklemm7430 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ashtenwall4657 I was referring to the comments below that were saying that there was a problem with the bass clarinet. I maybe should have put the comment down there so it was more clear. Still liked the the video and enjoyed it. I play bass clarinet and have the same one you are playing. It’s a great bass clarinet. I believe you have a Vito? Just guessing.

    i have a question: why did you guys choose to play the bass clarinet?

    • @ashtenwall4657
      @ashtenwall4657  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      personally, i started off on the clarinet, and while i loved playing the clarinet, it didn’t feel quite right, so i switched to bass and fell in love with it.
