The first episode focuses on the shallow zone-a zone that many anglers avoid and often overlook, despite its potential. I’ll guide you through the pros and cons of shore jigging in shallow waters, and by the end of this video, you'll know when, where, and how to fish these areas effectively. Excellent advice Markos. My best catches were indeed in shallow areas when the conditions are medium rough (not super calm, nor crazy rough), there are nice structures, but most importantly the fishing spot is ALIVE (meaning there are bait fish and creatures are around and active). Bait life and activity is the best indicator, doesn't matter if shallow or deep. After all, lure fishing is all about looking for fish that are looking for BAIT. Learning how to "see" when a spot is "alive" or not is king. Because it's not always very obvious, especially when the bait are nervous and trying to hide for some reason. ;-)

I must ask , how do you know the depth of each location in such accuracy? Is it only from experience? 😂
And have you ever considered replacing treble hooks to single plug hooks to try and reduce the snags in the shallows ?
It works good in my area where there are only shallow fishing spots ,10m tops .

Yassou Markos ; Merci pour cette vidéo, elle est très révélatrice, je dirai même que 15m, c est déjà profond car l ensembles des spots les plus courants que l on trouve du bord (sans faire1h de marche ou plus ) se situent autours des 5 à 8m, je ne suis pas un professionnel comme toi mais mes beaux poissons je les ai pris dans ces eaux !....Je pense qu' en levant les triples et avec des simples, on s en sort mieux !....Connais tu Karpathos, j irai peut être ?

I try gravity runner for the first time this year a month ago, and I always catch my leader with first triple hook on my lure on every cast i made,maybe know reason why? I nearly throw my brand new lure in a trash.

Φυσικά και μπορείς να πας με πιο light εξοπλισμό, αλλά θα ρισκάρεις να σε κόψουν τυχόν μεγάλα ψάρια

Great video as allways Marcos.I wanna ask you,if you plan to jigging in 0-15 mts do you prefer to use slow falling jigs like sardine slider(instead of needle jig) ? And how is your action generally?
