I am an aboriginal Australian. My husband is a white Englishman. EVERYONE in our family asked what colour skin our baby would have. Was thus racism? No. It was a family being genuinely excited about what the next generation would Bring.
There is a difference In Contexts. The context in which your family / husbands family may mean could be different to the context in which harry and Meghan were asked.
It happens with same race couples too.. like when two Indians get married & since they have different skin tones, the family is intrigued, they love the child nevertheless. But some families can feel disappointed if the child turns out to have deeper skin tone & that’s problematic. Depends on the context in which it was said really. My assumption is, the RF was probably excited? Because they’d have someone, looking different from them in a beautiful way? The monarchy has met all types of people from all walks of life, for centuries. I don’t know how they can be so blatantly racist.

In our current situation, that means that Prince George, the eldest son of Prince William, automatically became a prince, but not Archie, even though they are both great-grandsons of the Queen. Oprah is not per se a journalist she was a talk show host. She has her strengths and weaknesses as an interviewer it’s definitely her own style and unlike most. She can sometimes get great answers in her style but she also tends to try to relate to her guests similar to hosts like Howard Stern who tends to dig a lot out of them

Alot of this is taken out of all context. Archie not being a Prince isn't different to protocol, great grandchildren of the monarch aren't entitled to be called prince or princess and haven't been for many generations. Other grandchildren and great grandchildren of the monarch dont get security paid for by the UK tax payers either as they are capable of paying for their own security.

Harry lived it, I think he would know. Two thoughts on this from me. One, it’s only a big issue because they make it one. ‘Couple fall out with in-laws’ - hardly groundbreaking stuff or unheard-of phenomena. If they wished for public attention to be drawn away from the issue and themselves (be “left alone”), why are they on Oprah?! Secondly, it’s really hard to feel sorry for two people who can leave their (literal) palace in England and move to a huge estate in the US, (and have absolutely NO money worries at all), when I’m worried about whether I’ll have a job next month, where myself and my family might be living, and so on.
I know people who have worked with her during her career.... When I asked "who is the worst actor you have dealt with?" The response was Meghan Markle" Everyone has their own opinion and I personally have not interacted with her... I was always wondering what my baby would look like before he was born. Would he be dark, light, blonde, blue-eyed, brown-eyed, etc. We have it all in my family. Wondering and saying "I hope it isn't...something' is very different from being curious. Oprah has coolly and intelligently interviewed a thousand people from far more provocative situations, so her astonished 'Whattt???!!!" wears very thin.

Archie not being a Prince isn't different to protocol, great grandchildren of the monarch aren't entitled to be called prince or princess and haven't been for many generations. Two thoughts on this from me.
One, it’s only a big issue because they make it one. ‘Couple fall out with in-laws’ - hardly groundbreaking stuff or unheard-of phenomena. If they wished for public attention to be drawn away from the issue and themselves (be “left alone”), why are they on Oprah?!
Secondly, it’s really hard to feel sorry for two people who can leave their (literal) palace in England and move to a huge estate in the US, (and have absolutely NO money worries at all), when I’m worried about whether I’ll have a job next month, where myself and my family might be living, and so on.

Honestly the thing that hurt me was when she brought up how beautiful Princess Kate was called “Waity Katy” like come on don’t bring that up. And Diana. Meghan was in her thirties with life experiences and the wisdom that comes with it. Diana was a naive barley legal nineteen year old.
And as far as I’m concerned Harry is only the Duke of Sussex. The only reason William’s kids are princes and princesses is because the Queen said so. I was always wondering what my baby would look like before he was born. Would he be dark, light, blonde, blue-eyed, brown-eyed, etc. We have it all in my family. Wondering and saying "I hope it isn't...something' is very different from being curious.
