    You know why I like you and this show Ray? Cuz u give the news and ur done and out. No life stories, no hour or two of chit chat every day that I gotta FFWD through and rewind to find info. Just hit me wit the news for the day. 5-10 min. Perfect. It’s December. That’s all we need. Perfect bro! Keep up the cliff notes and great job my friend. I appreciate ya.

      Ray we are suposed to be trying to win a World Series not evaluating 80% of our starting rotation. This depth stuff is getting Rediculous

    I like the scenario you proposed of Alonso,Manaea, and Walker Beuhler.I think despite this past season Pete is a 40hr 115-120 rbi guy who won’t kill you at first and has had success in the playoffs

    I like your idea of offering Pete something compelling for 6 years and immediately pivoting to Christian Walker if he doesnt take it. Any interest giving Goldschmidt a 1 year deal? He was looking more like his old self towards end of season.

    • @Dan-tt8sn
      @Dan-tt8sn หลายเดือนก่อน

      No Goldy. He’s already 37 years old and will never regain his old form.

    • @TheMacdod
      @TheMacdod หลายเดือนก่อน

      @Dan-tt8sn 1 year is small risk for potential upside surprise. He got off to a slow start but showed he could still hit towards end if season. He was trending in the right direction and is only 2 seasons removed from MVP. Hopefully we get Pete for 6 years or preferably less. If not, Goldy is the best pivot and transition to Clifford.

    I see your point with manea, on the other hand , what if we could get two to three good years, and the fourth year we need to give him to sign him?

    • @Standdividedfalltogether
      @Standdividedfalltogether หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Just like we gave Soto an extra 5-6 years to sign. We need to do the same for Pete. Our own guy that’s been with us and carried the team since he was 24. If we can’t eat 1-2 years for a guy that’s spends 13-15 years with us then idk wtf the point is to have a farm.

    I don’t wanna see a one year prove it with Pete either. Cuz he struggled last year under that contract pressure. This whole thing sickens me after giving Soto 15 for 800. U can’t give Pete 6 for 150 and make him happy? It’s bs

  • @Standdividedfalltogether
    @Standdividedfalltogether หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    If buehler performs well, or any of these guys like last year… wouldn’t ya wanna be able to keep any of em??? Instead of rebuilding a rotation every year? If they have so much confidence in this pitching lab, then give pitchers at least 2-3 years so they stay when you fix them. Instead leave u for more money

    Letting Pete Alonso walk over money is the typical Wilpon move. Bring up excellent players and then when they get good and want real money and you can’t afford them, just let them sign with another team? And even before the Wilpons and before my time, the Nolan Ryan trade is coming to mind. 🤦‍♂️

  • @DougKillian
    @DougKillian หลายเดือนก่อน

    Seattle reportedly would trade Luis Castillo only if the trade would improve the 2025 club. Drew Gilbert would come nowhere close to achieving that. Steamer projects the 24-year-old Gilbert with a 2025 wRC+ of 88 coming off a 2024 season that saw Gilbert post an meager wRC+ of 85 in 247 plate appearances at Triple A. The Mariners would not return the call on that offer.

    Signing walker buehler improves our team. In addition the move weakens the dodgers

    • @Dan-tt8sn
      @Dan-tt8sn หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It does not weaken the Dodgers because they replaced him with Snell and they are probably going to get Sasaki. They had no plans of signing Buehler anyway.

      @@jeffreywashington5461 i’m all for weakening the Dodgers bc I’m sick of them to be honest. lol. But that is not the way. The way you weaken them is by signing Teo to a non-deferred contract because he does not want to accept the deferred garbage the Dodgers offered him. It’s looking more and more likely that their starting right fielder is going to be Conforto next year. lol. 😂 😁
      Another team is going to have to do that though because the Mets just got the best hitting right fielder in baseball and do not need another one.

  • @Standdividedfalltogether

    Gimme Pete and buehler instead Manaea. And two pen arms including a serious 8th inning guy and trade for an ace. It’s simple. Or we not making the playoffs. We are way worse than last year right now. Not even close.

    • @Standdividedfalltogether
      @Standdividedfalltogether หลายเดือนก่อน +1
