I bought the 2024 Kia Forte GT2. I was looking at the SE Corolla too. The Forte GT has a better looking interior, larger infotainment screen, all the drivers aids, heated/cooling seats, sun roof, larger trunk, and 30 more hp for the same money all the dealers were asking for the Corolla SE...and let me tell you the extra power is very nice for an economy car. I'm getting around 34 mpg with my drives to work and I've seen 40 mpg on the interstate. I find the build quialty to be just as good as any car I've owned dispite what some say about Kia. Paint quialty is very nice..fit and finish is very nice..car comes with a spare tire which is pretty rare these days with cars in this segment. The Navi and voice control works very nice and I like how the car tells you where all the red light cameras are. The glass on the sun roof filters out the heat from the sun very nice...roomy interior for my 5' 10" average built body. The DCT transmission shifts smooth both upshifts and downshift and the engine for an economy car will put a grin on your face. The car drives nice and is tight feeling... and is as quiet as any car I've owned in this segment..I've owned a Civic, Corolla, Elantra, and a Chevy Cruze Diesel over the last 12 years or so...my Chevy Cruze diesel with the road noise was by far quieter than my Civic, Corolla, or Elantra and I find this 2024 Forte GT to be on par with it...yes all older models, but this Kia has advanced to the level it is with noise control and is better than any car I've had so far in this segment...don't listen to all the hate from people who havn't even driven this car..go test drive one yourself and you will be very surprised how well this car is put together and with all its features..and how much power it has...for thousands less..with the longest warranty in the industry...its worth a look if your looking for something a bit more exciting with a economy car.
I’m glad you love the car that’s a huge W!!! I’ve also looked at the SE Corolla too at a point in time but I just feel the Forte GT is just so much better especially interior wise
I’ve been looking at the 2024 Forte GT, went back today to actually sit in one. The salesman told me about the top of the line 2024 Forte GT Line for about $28,000.00 so he took my info down because they’re having it delivered in June. They don’t make many of the “GT Line” which i guess is what yall call the GT2 wanted mine in black with the red detailing. Can’t wait to get it!
W I hope you love the car when you get it once I got my forte I was sooooo happy it was like a dream come true. He’s not wrong ether I’ve been looking at the website to see what shipment coming in and there’s rarely any Gt-Lines. The red detailing makes the car pop one of my favorite attributes on the car fasure!!
Noooo, GT-Line is an appearance package, that's what I had before my GT2. GT-Line has the same naturally aspirated engine & CVT, that the other, lower trims have. The GT is a whole other beast compared to it. GT2 is a package for the full-on GT, with upgraded tech. The GT-Line has its own packages that upgrade the tech as well, Premium & Sports Premium, but there's a big difference in power between a GT-Line & GT, the GT gets the turbocharged engine & 7-speed dual-clutch automatic or optional 6-speed manual. Don't get me wrong, I loved my GT-Line, but if you have a chance to get the GT, get the GT. The difference in badgings a little different & hard to see sometimes from a distance, but if it's a full-on GT, it's not going to say GT-Line in the rear, it's just going to GT, better yet, look for dual trapezoid exhaust tips. If you can't see them, it's not an actual GT. Besides the deck-lid spoiler & red trim, the GT-Lines look the same as the LX & LXS do from the rear, because they don't have the exhaust that the GT has. For reference, my GT-Line was a black 2022 Premium (not Sports Premium) Package & my GT, I just got barely 2 months ago, is a steel gray 2024, with the GT2 Package.
@@JustinPennito correct the Gt-Line is purely appearance no performance. You’ll have a weaker engine in that car compared to the GT. If you’re able to definitely get the GT you’ll have way more fun that car. The ambient lighting badging power crackle and pops from the exhaust, it’s going to be a bang for your buck!!
Get the GT2..not the GT-Line...the engine has 50 more hp, 7 speed DCT transmission instead of a CVT transmission, and a multi link rear suspension instead of a torsion beam...and not much of a mpg loss with 50 more hp....the GT extra hp will make this economy car so much nicer to drive and you will be glad you spent the extra money for the GT2..probably only 30 or so dollars more with the car payment
@@Cks24 I think the other person that commented originally, before I ever did, thinks that the GT-Line & GT2 are the samething & I was trying to tell them that, so they don't make the wrong purchase, not that the GT-Line is bad, it's just not the same in terms of power. Now technology-wise, depending on which sub-trim of each that you choose, they are equal.
Don't listen to the haters. There is nothing wrong with Kia. Once upon a time they were the worst brand.. in the early 2000s. Since 2015 they've been getting more reliable especially the Optima, Forte, and Stinger. Your car is dope.
