I've spent probably close to 50 hours in a 750ht, best fishing boat layout I've been on and very nice finish. Unfortunately like you mentioned they are an extremely wet boat and even the 7.5m in the ruff is extremely wet and have had a few greenies over the bow which isn't what you want when your out wide.
Hi Al, love your video. Just ordering a Northbank 650 HT. I love your sounder TZ and 3D mapping set-up. Just wondering if you could tell me what transducer you installed/used and pros/cons in installing it, and did you use a fairing block? Thanks, Chris
Hey Mate I had to push my fuel tank forward a bit to fit all the transducers and they are certainly a bit crammed but they work a treat and best of all no faring blocks
put a anderson plug from your battery to the door cover, aligator clips suck, and then you can also run anything else on it by putting an anderson plug on the device. also put on on your battery charger at home and just plug your charger in
Thanks Al, great video. Id be keen on more on the Extra fuel tank. Its something id like to add to my Northbank. Do you need to prime it before switching to it? Was there enough room to run the hoses or did you cut the deck? Also how do you fill it?
You have to cut through the bulk head but there is heaps of room above the main tank. I fill it straight into the tank as its too much work for a second fuel filler
Hi Al If you say your mid range torque is insane what is making you think that you will benefit from a 4 blade prop? Your boat is definitely not under powered by any means, and specs show that those new mercs have one of the best hole shot and torque performances compared to others in the same hp class. Potentially if you jump up front 17 three blade to 18pitch 4 blade you may not see a lot of difference, so guess I'm interested to hear from you what pitch prop etc you are going for and what are you expectations on WOT by changing to a 4 blader compared to what you have currently? BTW very nice rig. Cheers 👍
Absolutely the midrange is the best of any outboard but I am more interested in fuel economy and I am hoping to bring my fuel consumption down even further which has been my experience with previous engines
Hi Al, any chance you could do a segment on setting up for big fish trolling if you don’t have 5 x 50W tiagras and or outriggers? Your earlier Marlin Video looked like u ran a teaser and caught him on spin gear? Would be great to see some economical options to getting into game fishing without the need to run a full spread of big expensive reels! Cheers!
@@almcglashan thank you. What did you use for cooking and water please? I am seriously looking at buying one of these for off shore fishing and a bit of closer in exploring but cooking and water are the missing elements.
Hi Al, pls can you run through your outrigger setup. How to pick the right length of riggers relative to the boat, what clips to use etc. cheers!
yeah thats a really good idea ill do a story on it tomorrow on insta @almcglashan

Hi al...Are they timber free hull and transom boats?
Mine was timber but its fully glassed over like most serious gameboats

Good call Mojo would you believe I only own one Tiagra these days! Check out the trolling vids I have done and also livebaiting for marlin
So you do much bicycling off the boat, from the above shot Al’s bought along a bike rack.👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼⛴⛴
😂😂😂
Tom's Contender for sure, best 21 in the country (just).
And as below, rigger setup would be cool.
Haha deff no cleaner as well polished contender out there!!!
@@almcglashan I don't doubt that at all, proper loved.
How would it go for a 3-4 day trip with e.g. cooking and water?
Very doable I have done a couple of 2-3 day trips easily

@@timp1089 just cook on one of those small butane cookers while water was carried in big yetis
