Broly’s gimmick is mostly just not having to worry about evolution. He’s strong and based on fighting rather than worrying about leveling up on time- Dragon Ball rushing is no longer an option to have to worry about, and o think that’s a pretty fun gimmick
It’s uniqueness is probably the main reason it’s still pretty alive
For a raider who is meant to fight he doesn't fight. I get the super transphere and he ignores me, just chasing players until he gets to level three then fights me
Honestly, always liked this game just because it's actually something different in the Dragon Ball Universe and not just the 3d fighter format we've had for 15 years. I still play this a lot with my friends. I just hope this doesn't mean Bandai go back to making just 3d fighters and make some unique takes on gaming with Dragon Ball.
It reminds me of Shinobi Striker. People complain about it a lot but I find Shinobi Striker matches like under a minute.

I think the problem with Strikers was that people were used to Naruto games with good singleplayer and Strikers was always online with subpar singleplayer. To add salt to the wound it was the only Naruto game with character creation.

If this is true, I am one of the people that will be finally giving it a shot - It looked too poop to even plop the small asking price. I'm glad it's getting support; lots of people seem to like the actual game in spite of the systems around it lol

The game has never been dead, even in the middle of a season it only ever really took me 2 minutes to find a match on Switch. Population numbers vary drastically depending on the system.

Is it just me or, like, on the late game the breakers becomes outright the most accurate dragon ball fighting game? Like, its just so much similar to Dragon Ball
Came up with a raid idea for Janemba.
The raid would be themed around the demons/devils. The map would have 2 stages, one before janemba corruption and then one after. There would be 3 small "soul collection stations" around the map, with 1 large "soul cleansing machine" in the north.
Stage 1: Would be (spike the devilman) in which the raider would go around killing survivors and npcs for energy like normal. Once (spike the devilman) reaches max energy, (Dabura) will appear, killing him.
Stage 2: The raider, now (Dabura) would no longer gain energy through killing players and npcs, instead have the objective of destroying the 3 "soul collection station". Once all 3 are destroyed the raider, (Dabura) would be retired for the match. As a cutscene plays showing a meltdown at the "soul cleansing machine" for all players and the corruption of the orge kid turning him into (Fat Janemba).
Skills: Same health pool as second form cell. Stone spit move, in which he spit 3 projectiles out in a burst, stunning the survivors for 8 seconds. Flame breath sweep move for short/mid range. A normal burst move for defense. Ki sense.
Map changes: crystal beans will appear all over the map. If the super-time machine is present, a large crystal bean will incase it, preventing it from being worked on by survivors or passively gaining progress. This crystal can be broken by survivors for half the time it would take to charge the super-time machine.
Stage 3: The raider, now (Fat Janemba) would start at the north, the "soul cleansing machine". (Fat Janemba) would slowly gain energy, and after 5 minutes would transform in (super Janemba).
The raider can shorten this time by executing survivors or npc. 30 seconds per survivor and 10 for npc. Unlike other raiders (Fat Janemba) execution can not eliminate players.
Skills: (Fat Janemba) would be immune to all damage but still takes fair knockback for flurry melee attacks and slight slowing for large ki blast/wave attacks. The raider would be unable to fly and be pretty slow when walking, but would have great jump distance and a roll attack for movement. A teleporting punch move for short/mid range and a rapid fire cannon move from its belly holes for long/mid. Ki sense.
4 stage: The raider now (Super Janemba) can once again fly. Have perfect cell levels of health. And once again be able to eliminate survivors.
Skills: (Super Janemba) would be able to teleport long distances sometimes like using the survivors grappling hook, 2 times in a row. Flying sword slashes for his standard ki blast. His ultimate for fighterz, "needle light shower". Some portal strikes. A powerful upward sword slash for an ultimate.
I think they REALLY need to make the game F2P like Mha UR. Crossplay may help a LOT. But f2p is needed
F2P is not needed. UR suffers from Cheaters because they do not need to pay for the game, just several Alt accounts. Game is cheap enough, and the "monetized" Raiders can be treated as DLC, which most of the time people have to pay, regardless of the game. I would rather not have to deal with more cheaters in Breakers, thank you.

@@nathakevin012 Breakers is like a side project for Dimps and Bandai Namco, so saying that they just have to make a better Anticheat is like saying you will solve World Hunger, which spoilers, you won't.
Asking for the game to be F2P will only bring more cheaters to it, and with Cross Play on the Horizon, it will damage the game further by getting the Console players affected due to the PC cheats.
The issue with F2P for this game is... it's one of the most forgiving gacha games.
There's no limit to the amount of Zeni (the non-paid currency that's used for most of the things you want+need) a player can earn. If a player plays this game for 10 rounds a day every day, they're pretty much guaranteeing themselves AT LEAST FIVE 10-rolls. That's 50 gachas a week. Most of which will give you higher drop rates for the newest Skills.
If you play it just a few rounds a day, yeah, this game feels like it NEEDS to be F2P.
If you play it addictively, however... you'll see players coming in with the best skills DAY 1 of every Season, and they DIDN'T HAVE TO SPEND A DIME.
If it goes fully F2P... people are going to blame the pay-2-win players for getting the best skills. When in reality: paying doesn't increase anything in this game (Take it from me, I've been a "P2W player" since the start, I STILL haven't gotten my most wanted skills from this game, while I see the F2P regulars running around with them [those who have nearly 2,000 hours of playtime]).
Besides, if it goes F2P......... expect it to become MORE GREEDY.
Expect the Dragon Pass to no longer be free. Expect higher rarity rates for paid gacha rolls. Expect Zeni limitations/reductions.
I'd technically get the advantage here since I pay. But free players? They'll be losing out.
In my opinion, what they should have done is use the old Broly consept as a Raider as the guy was an actual sadist in the movies that was fun to watch, and put the DBS Broly as a transformation instead. They could also put Cheelai as a survivor, and Mr Satan as an extra survivor.
Old Broly is fan-hype, but isn't sales-hype. Z Broly won't sell new Dragon Ball products. Super Broly can and will.
Z Broly will more than likely become a Raider... a couple years down the road.
I wish the graphics were better and that the gameplay looked smoother, it feels like an early ps4 game not something from the current generation
The game is so much fun I literally never get bored but the grind is tough especially for a game you have to pay for that’s my only real issue is the over minimization
If the game became free to play and they just offered all prior players in game currency equivalent to the games price i feel like while some people would be pissed for the most part it would be fine
Most online discussion of this game has consistently been people who don't play it saying it's dead. I've been playing it maybe a couple times a week for a year on the PS4 and i have always been able to find a match in under 10 minutes at the absolute maximum.

Just started playing. Had my heart pounding on the first couple games. Lot to learn. Both sides are fun to play. Glad I came across it and that it's getting some attention
Well hopefully Broly opens up more raider potential since they are willing to do ones that start at level 2, Cooler being a good example.
If you are a legitimate Dragon Ball fan this game is extremely underrated.
If it had only cost 5$ or just been free from the beginning it's reception would have been much more successful.
At the time of it's release 20$ was just an insane ask for what the game was at the time and it kind of still is now but if they keep adding raiders that are requested by the fans and genuinely entertaining content I could see a resurgence in the community.
Its a new take on dragon ball games as a whole and I really enjoy playing it.
Instead of mind numbingly playing FPS amd hating myself I actually enjoy myself and have fun when I play this game.
Broly has second area destruction on level 4 is VERY fast and different
And land his ultimate on survivor or civilians gives more evolution than execution
Tbh even tho Broly doesnt have a quirky pitch for his kit beyond starting at Level 2, he enables a very fun aggressive playstyle without trapping the Raider in fights he cant win. You can just go steamroll people and he feels very invincible at times which is something that you usually get after leveling up a little, it makes me wish the game was always this fast and crazy, seems great for newer players
I agree 100% globku doesn't play as frequently as other players do but there's def a massive difference between playing broly and the other raiders
It's funny cause it just means he has has the same levels than the usual other raiders. All that he gets is a number 4 which is literally just level 3 because you dont have a level 1 but start at "2"
@@TheReZisTLustGenerally, yes, but it also means that he can destroy areas and permanently eliminate survivors one stage faster (even though it might take the same amount of time as other raiders) and most importantly, he cannot get melee'd by Level 1 transpheres, which practically makes Level 1 D Change useless, since if you use it to escape, you're giving him a third of his bar, compared to the little amount he gets by just finishing you off
My appreciation for Broly stems from his abilities that counter the main meta, his "magnet" ability counters the most obnoxious combination in this game, which is energy barrier (that stops the raider from hitting them) and instant transmission (allows survivors to tp to any teammate in the game), his magnet does this by grabbing them even if they're in the energy barrier, effectively negating the combo and leaving him open to downing a survivor, it makes what was previously an annoying guaranteed survivor escape, an actually engaging back and forth thing where the raider still stands a chance at a kill, but a survivor stands a chance at an escape, he also has the energy barrier which prevents premade squads from demolishing him as easy as they can the likes of Vegeta and Frieza
Energy barrier and IT aren’t even a guaranteed escape since the barrier will drop before you can teleport due to the start up time.

When I heard Broly was going to be the raider, I was trying to guess how you could give him “four stages.”
Turns out, the answer was: You don’t. Kind of interesting that he just starts at 2 from the get go, but it would have been fun if he did start off like “controlled” first and then upon reaching a threshold or time limited, he went into his rage form (and then go from there between SSJ and full power).
Either way though, the cross play announcement has to account for something about some success for breakers. If the game was dying, why invest that money? Either way, it does make me curious if they do plan on even more seasons after Broly or if things will slow down at this point.
There are two clearly defined stages to his "rage" (Wrathful) form too, I expected the initial one he entered while fighting SSG Vegeta to be Stage 1 tbh
It's a shame his four stage is such fake bait, having a number look different doesnt mean it's not the first level you are.
The longest I've had to wait for matches is at most 8 min least 10 sec it varies based on timezone and time of day

Ngl broly is fun asf, a fighting version of cell's hunter gameplay. If a person likes fighting then broly is all about that smoke. 5:00 interestingly enough lv 2 broly gets more change if he kills the civi with his super attack (the aoe) instead of finishing them off because of his passive.

Stage 1:the boy
He would have to run from survivors to get to a location in which a cutscene then plays turning him to fatnemba
Stage 2: fatnemba
U can level up as normal and u skip lv 3 and go to super janemba with the sword however if the survivors kill you u go to stage 3 no sword and have to gather more energy to lv to stage 4 which would be gaining the sword
I actually really like broly's gimmick. At first I was worried because broly was starting at level 2, and I thought it would be super unbalanced, but no they kinda balanced it out with the survivors getting something as well.
(p.s. the first transpire can also turn you into a super saiyan instead of super saiyan god)

The game has always had a following and has never been dead as a game overall. Xbox and Pc have had less players, which is what everyone used to claim the game was dying. On switch and especially PS it has always had an active player base. The game has also had many patches that have improved the balance of the game. It’s not perfect and it still has power creep on side (The survivors as the end of season 3), but it isn’t just using meta skills and playing selfish. The meta is stuns, which can be used on raiders. Overall this has made team coordination a more important factor in games. Making it harder for raiders to win premade teams but I feel it balance out on solo queue. The monitzation system could be much better and would benefit from being free to play. It isn’t as bad as many say though. The only thing you may have to buy is the raider but besides that you can manage pretty well without spending money on summons. I’ve done so for 2 seasons. Overall this game has its problems but at the end of the day it’s fun, and has a pretty chill player base for the most part. It’s so easy to trash this game and I think most content creators went that route. It’s okay to not like
It but the amount of comments and video I have seen about breakers being bad to get some interaction is apparent. I was skeptical of the game my first time but it’s a game I like. Different isn’t bad and I think some Dragonball fans don’t know this. Breakers got hate, Daima getting hate, super was getting hate until it was more like Z. If it isn’t like Z then people are not interested. Which is perfectly valid. You know what you like and are here for and that’s respectable. The problem is when you adamantly desire to spread drama about something you don’t know much about. As you can I’ve had a lot to say and I’m happy the devs see something great in this game like it’s fans have. While I agree with ironing out a lot of issues the game has I think it’s just as important to appreciate passion projects the devs want to release over time. We can’t have new experiences with the same format over long periods of time. Connections initially got flack for it but I’m glad some people are not seeing it as storm 4 below. That’s all I have to say, be respectful in the comments because I feel this is gonna bring a lot of different opinions.
They’ve confirmed and season 5 and 6 so that’s at least a year.

The game is actually really fun when properly balanced. The problem is the devs idea of balancing is buffing the raider up to a point where a chimpanzee can kill at least 5 of the 7 survivors. Playing survivor used to be a blast, but now is painful especially when the good survivor skills are behind a paywall. A real fun concept handled atrociously.
I mean tbf, trying to fight the big boss should be more of a last ditch effort rather than a reliable strategy. It loses a lot of the feel of the raider if fighting them is a consistent answer.

Try going against a premade team, a full 7 team of Lvl 160+. Discord not necessary.
They make Raiders a JOKE. Raiders have NO WAY of fighting back.
Watch Ironcane. Watch Jupiter (gianturion). Watch Stray. Watch any person who plays the game more than once a week: Raiders right now are pushovers.
ESPECIALLY BROLY, GINYU, AND VEGETA - they have ZERO options of winning against decently-skilled teams. The ONLY Raider who can stand a chance against Survivors is Lvl 3 Buu, Try-hard Cell players, and sadistic body-camping Friezas.
Against complete randos? Yeah, Raiders seem OP.
Are you kitted with Barrier+InstantTransmission? You're pretty much set to survive even amongst randos.
Are you kitted with Charming Pose+Unconscious Control? You're overqualified to fight against Raiders 1v1.
Are you kitted with Change:Rocket? You're guaranteed to outmaneuver the Raider throughout the ENTIRE match.
Are you kitted with Beyond Super Saiyan+Power Unleashed+I'm A Bit Stronger Than You+Special Service? You can stay in the fight THRICE AS LONG as anyone else in the game.
Are you kitted with S.O.S? You're practically GUARANTEED a win no matter what.
Are you kitted with Exploration Enthusiast? You can REGEN ANY OF YOUR OP SKILL TWICE AS FAST!
And that's just the WESTERN-STANDARD KITS.
Let's look at the Japanese-side of metas: who've mastered the use of Change:Camo, Cook, Slide, Ki Control, Galick Gun Master, Flames of Mt. Frypan, Item Search, Rapid Fire Ki Blasts, and Trap Device.
So even amongst randos: YOU have a fighting chance. Maybe not your team, but YOU can still win with an Escape.
Sorry to say, man, but anyone that genuinely thinks Raiders are OP haven't played the game enough.
They treated it like Xenoverse or Dead By Daylight, failed to understand it, and dropped it before they could figure it out.
That's WHY they brought Broly into the game: Because he's dummy-simple for even new Survivor-players to understand: Avoid him, run, let someone who's good at fighting fight him.

Because Ginyu is the WEAKEST RAIDER IN THE GAME - where a team of Survivor Lvl 2s and Lvl 1s can DEFEAT THEM WITH EASE. Reason why people fail? Because most new players don't bother learning the mechanics of the game.

Used to play with a friend and got paired with randoms who just straight up Inted. I could carry most games as long as people didn’t suicide 5 seconds in, but the trend in patches to balance the game were disheartening to say the least.
Most people don’t have 6 buddies to fill a team on a cringey ass spin-off dbz game. I dropped it due to the endless buffs to raiders, and after 7 super Time Machine time increases. No wonder the game is dog shit now, when even then you had to drop money for gatcha scraps and couldn’t get the good abilities after grinding for literal hours.

I've never struggled to find a match, I don't think it's ever died but it's definitely had some patches that almost killed it a few times.
I don't think it'd do better as a free to play game. Bots, hackers, server issues from a large influx of people, the need for more moderation etc- the games gatcha system would need improving and they'd likely need to do some prep for it. I think from a business standpoint, it's something they'll probably look into at a later date when the player count gets dangerously low or the sales dies down enough to need a fresh batch of players.

2:17 the entire “gimmick” is that there are NO dragonballs to save Survivors. Broly gets back almost all of his health every transformation he goes through. Super Transpheres take the place of dragonballs and multiple can spawn in one match but not at the same time. There’s no way that the Survivors can just “jump” the Raider. There must be hit and run tactics deployed if the survivors even stand a chance

Broly's gimmick seems to be that there's no gimmick at all. JUST FIGHT. It turns the game from a 'killer vs. survivor' type, into a full-on brawl. Running and hiding for survivors is actually bad, because they need to get transformations as quickly as possible before Broly just kills them. It becomes more of a tag-in type style, where whoever DOES have a transformation needs to distract Broly long enough for the next person to get a transformation. Any cowardice by individual members can result in a team loss.
I really want to play this game but the only thing stopping me is the fact that it's not free to play, I think it costs like 20 USD but where I live it's close to the 80s so I don't feel like paying for a game I don't even know if I'll still exist in a year or so
Plus if it was free I might even be able to convince my friends that like dead by daylight to play a dragon ball game with me lol

Bit of a correction at 2:41 the super transphere will usually turn you into SSJ Goku/Vegeta if the bar is halfway and the God forms if it’s more than half way.

Its a honestly big damn shame its S Broly and not Z cause Royalty Broly is just a better menance and transforming with that amazing skin peel would be awesome and though i may join for it solely again since Survivor isnt still forced basically. S Broly is also just visually cooler

@@TheReZisTLust It used to work. On Day 1, it worked like a charm. Especially if you were on the Switch (the only platform that didn't have issue for the first couple days... it only started having issues after "the fix").
Also, Z Broly is fan-favored, but doesn't sell new (Dragon Ball Super) products since he isn't canon...
They likely picked Super Broly just for "cross-promotions" (Super Broly appearing in other games, movies, and series)... he's going to become a regular character in the Dragon Ball world, so they need to push him media-wise.
Z Broly will definitely get added in down the road (sadly, likely after 2 or 3 years). He's been added to all other new multiplayer Dragon Ball games - so there's no doubt he'll get in. But probably only after they bring in all of the major canon villains from Super and Z.
If Breakers becomes f2p, even if you lock some footage behind a paid version, I'd start playing it
