Interesting, I have the (i guess) older yellow variant of the deko 18v impact 1/2 inch, with 4Ah battery, I couldn't seem to take out the 4 hex bolts from my Golf 5's crankshaft pulley. Maybe its because of the hex socket set losing much of the torque the driver produces ? Or should I try impacting it longer ? (tried like 4-5 seconds, the hearing loss is real with Deko)
It's because we are stronger than these impact drivers, correct use is to loosen tight bolt by hand first then use the impact wrench driver. The same goes for fitment tread alignment first then wrench then torque by hand. The stronger stuff like they use for F1, and commercial use are costly in the wrong hands, broken bolts, stripped treads, broken and shattering of sockets and bits, the tool and anvil itself. The tests one see is basically to compare these against their opposite rivals. As for the air driven ones, they over tighten and cause damage if not used correctly.
