Trying to keep alive is hard, then when your not just surviving, you try to find a purpose or something that keeps our soul from dieing. I'm trying to find the courage to try and find something. I've locked this side of me away so I can just survive. Now I feel I need something to bring me to life otherwise I'm just going to keep working my life away to pay bills.

I've been through PTSD, physical assault, social anxiety, Autism, depression, ADHD, deaths in my family and my family's pets and deaths of my good friends that hit me really hard...but i never gave up. Life is worth it to just keep going. I have to keep going...for them. Life is too beautiful to just stop now. I have a lifelong dream as a music producer, and i need to keep trying and going after my huge passion in life, because that's what my friends and family members who have passed would have wanted. I do this for them. I keep on going for them. I keep on going for me, too. No traumatic experience or toxic person is going to ever stop me from giving up. I had a friend who hated Nickelback. He literally couldn't tell me why though. For years he taunted me for liking these guys, and I took it. Cuz I knew he was just jumping on the bandwagon because he genuinly couldn't give me a reason. Then one day he asked if he could borrow my ipod for the day as his had just packed in. I said yeah and on that ipod was all the Nickelback albums up to that point. When he gave it me back I opened it up and it was still on the last song he'd listened to... 'Do this anymore' from the album The Long Road. I asked him about it right then and there and he looked like a rabbit in the headlights, eventually he just shrugged his shoulders and said "I got nothin'. Point of the story is, a lot of Nickelback haters just do it cuz it's trendy. Sure there'll be some that genuinly just don't like their music, like there's always someone who dislikes any music, but a band dosent endure 20 years if the entire world truly hates them now does it 😉

December 2020, on my 25th birthday. After 3 years of “darkness” - when I was lost, immersed in endless, pointless, nowhere-bound dissipation - finally, I got my sh*t together. I uninstalled all my games, unsubscribed all leisure channels, quitted all recreation groups. For the first time in my life, I know clearly what I want most, and the first time I ever made a detailed plan to achieve my goal. I started learning again and started doing workouts. This song, I listened to a long time ago, but I never took it seriously, I was just “Nah, whatever, life is good”. Now, it has been my go-to song, I listen to it almost every day, as I take each step, closer and closer to my dream. The road is still far long ahead, though. My goal, even if I try my best, I think still it's just a 50/50 chance that I will get it. But my heart is set, and I do know that if I reach for the stars, I will still be happy when I fall to the clouds instead. 2020 was a shitty year, but after all, I feel grateful. The end of the year marks a whole new beginning for my life. I will come back here often, in 1 year, 2 years, 3 years, … I estimate that by 2024-ish, if everything works well and luck is on my side, I will have achieved my goal. This comment is to remind my future self of how determined I am right now. *Update 1*: 10/2021 - I got a remote job as a software engineer from a big foreign company. My salary is almost tripled now. My mother was in tears of happiness when I told her the news. Love you, mom. *Update 2*: 7/2022 - My career keeps getting new height. However, my relationship life gets suffered. My fault. I had a friend who hated Nickelback. He literally couldn't tell me why though. For years he taunted me for liking these guys, and I took it. Cuz I knew he was just jumping on the bandwagon because he genuinly couldn't give me a reason. Then one day he asked if he could borrow my ipod for the day as his had just packed in. I said yeah and on that ipod was all the Nickelback albums up to that point. When he gave it me back I opened it up and it was still on the last song he'd listened to... 'Do this anymore' from the album The Long Road. I asked him about it right then and there and he looked like a rabbit in the headlights, eventually he just shrugged his shoulders and said "I got nothin'. Point of the story is, a lot of Nickelback haters just do it cuz it's trendy. Sure there'll be some that genuinly just don't like their music, like there's always someone who dislikes any music, but a band dosent endure 20 years if the entire world truly hates them now does it 😉

December 2020, on my 25th birthday. After 3 years of “darkness” - when I was lost, immersed in endless, pointless, nowhere-bound dissipation - finally, I got my sh*t together. I uninstalled all my games, unsubscribed all leisure channels, quitted all recreation groups. For the first time in my life, I know clearly what I want most, and the first time I ever made a detailed plan to achieve my goal. I started learning again and started doing workouts. This song, I listened to a long time ago, but I never took it seriously, I was just “Nah, whatever, life is good”. Now, it has been my go-to song, I listen to it almost every day, as I take each step, closer and closer to my dream.
The road is still far long ahead, though. My goal, even if I try my best, I think still it's just a 50/50 chance that I will get it. But my heart is set, and I do know that if I reach for the stars, I will still be happy when I fall to the clouds instead.
2020 was a shitty year, but after all, I feel grateful. The end of the year marks a whole new beginning for my life. I will come back here often, in 1 year, 2 years, 3 years, … I estimate that by 2024-ish, if everything works well and luck is on my side, I will have achieved my goal. This comment is to remind my future self of how determined I am right now.
*Update 1*: 10/2021 - I got a remote job as a software engineer from a big foreign company. My salary is almost tripled now. My mother was in tears of happiness when I told her the news. Love you, mom.
*Update 2*: 7/2022 - My career keeps getting new height. However, my relationship life gets suffered. My fault. But there are lessons to be learned and I'm changing to become a better person, physically and mentally, career-wise and relationship-wise. I come back to this song again to remind me that nothing is impossible. I will never settle.
