My Tamil bible says he had faith for SALVATION. Therefore proved beyond any doubt that healing is included in the salvation WOW Pastor Barry is right
Doesn't he punish throughout the old testament though? I need help understanding this please. Barry mentioned that his nature isn't to punish but that's all I see in the OT.
He did not punish until the law came into effect. If you read Deuteronomy 28 it is about the blessings you receive IF you keep all the commandments and then the curses that will come upon you if you do not keep the law.
As Barry said, God and Israel entered into covenant relationship. Deuteronomy 28 completely laid out what would be expected from both parties. God stayed faithful whereas Israel rebelled time snd again which brought forth the consequences of their actions.
Under the Old Covenant of Law, God literally promised Israel that if they obey him, they will never fall sick (Deuteronomy 7:15, Exodus 15:26) Under the promised kingdom of heaven on Earth, no one in Israel will be maim or sick too Isaiah 33:24
Yes God did punish in the old testament when the law of the Lord was defied and that is why Jesus was made the propitiation for our sins. His sacrifice satisfied God's wrath( 1John 2),Roman's 3:25
