Psalm 39:4-7
“Show me, Lord, my life’s end
and the number of my days;
let me know how fleeting my life is.
You have made my days a mere handbreadth;
the span of my years is as nothing before you.
Everyone is but a breath,
even those who seem secure.
“Surely everyone goes around like a mere phantom;
in vain they rush about, heaping up wealth
without knowing whose it will finally be.
“But now, Lord, what do I look for?
My hope is in you.

This was a very weird sermon, not in a good way. It is not because of the topic or that it is different from the usual sermons that is preached at bbtc. The verse this was based on, so much could have been said, but in the end nothing from the sharing linked or made sense. it was so incoherent, what was shared did not link up to any point that was being made. There was no clear message but just seems like he was reading from his book and just seems to promote what his book and what he does. Walked away from the service not knowing what was he driving as the main point of the message.
A thought provoking sermon. Very good preacher!
A personal interpretation and jokes on the subject of death. Nothing encouraging and edifying. Hope SP Chua would review the content of sermon of all guest speakers!

This was a ridiculous ‘sermon’. How could he have been allowed to deliver this message at a church that claims to be Bible-believing!
“Where the Word is not preached and heard, there is no church”
