After the 1st year I can say that also your attitude towards the books and all the materials matter. If you're saying "Eh,I have to study this material so to pass the exams" it will be hard for you to learn it because it seems that you don't do it because you enjoy it but for passing some exams. You have to be excited that you have the source for finding the answers for your questions. And like this studying becomes something entertaining,not stressing.

After all, people in this situation are learning to be doctor. If they don’t care about the lessons/texts/lectures beyond the “I have to pass a test” point, something wrong is happening.

Focus on yourself and beat your previous versions of yourself

Study SMART! No matter if it seems impossible, no matter if it takes time, no matter if you have to up all night. Just remember that the feeling of success is the best thing in entire world ^o^
Atleast try to get an adequate amount of sleep daily, much needed for our health!
Guys, this smart @$$ is forgetting a major factor. Get ENOUGH REST. You'll always have an advantage and an extra push when fully rested to get tasks done at excellent quality and efficient rate.

I'm still studying for the "university admission's test" here in Brazil (vestibular gostosinho pros chegados, sabor bubbaloo vencid, chéf), however, watching your videos make me feel so much closer from medicine school... my heart remembers it is my biggest dream :)

Nice to see a trainee doctor who understands that good doctors are the ones who are holistic and empathetic. I have a variety of chronic illnesses, and some doctors don't like me because I am a published scientist and thus research treatments etc.
Can you show us how to study for different rotations. It's honestly so confusing.
Also keep it up, you're a great inspiration.
