Wow man nice video!!! Btw, how much line was tossed behind the transom each time? Approximate trolling speed? How did the homies decide where to fish? Did they search for any since of activity on the surface? How far from the shore? Keep It up ❤💙🫶💪
Thanks for the GREAT COMMENT! We were between 20 - 50 yards back. I'd say he was doing between 5-10 knots and slowing down a bit when fish were on but not idling. We started by fishing rainbow runner and bonito near the reef outside the atoll...and when they sighted a school we changed lures and sped out I'd say about 5 miles off shore. The captain just kept flanking the school, but long after the birds dissipated we still slammed them on his home made lures! Finally that shark scared away the school and since one of the fisherman was SHIPS CREW on duty, so we just jetted back. I have a few parts to try and replicate the lure, but he had done a lot of customization with eyes and color inserts. Hoping to go out fishing with friend from Kapinga on Pohnpei again soon! I tested in many occasions this rotating spoon (that here in Italy we call 'cucchiaino granpescatore') and found out that It is particularly attractive towards various tuna species!! Interestingly, it resembles the lure of the first video and I can tell that, after It is slightly bent as shown th-cam.com/video/BJKGAEZBzyA/w-d-xo.htmlsi=mW1EtGC3jF6Bh0Nt
and trolled at around 5,5-6 knot on the surface so that It jumps a bit out of the water, sparkling, it becomes a killer for bonita!!! It Is not difficoult to find since there are some ones that are imported from China as well. A video with that lure would be great, cheers, keep It up man 💪💥🔥💯💙
