It's not a server for proper virtualization, but 920+ easily do all what I need (like mediaserver/backup/cloud like photo synchronisation/vital documentation synchronisation with versioning/several containers in docker/snapshot replication/aggregating couple cloud services etc, etc, etc) All these are "eating" maby 10% of it's hardware capabilities with exception for transcoding which need more resources, but still easily achieved with present hardware... so just interested - do ppl realize why they need powerful hardware for NAS (except advertisers telling them bullsh...t) or they just not clever enough and ask from NAS tasks wich must be handled by completely other class devices like servers.
Just checked the import fees and crazy to uk from Amazon
Find a Chinese student to help you buy a 4800 plus from China, the total cost will not exceed £280.

Ugreen NAS Series - "Could" you buy?
Thanks for the analysis! A bit off-topic, but I wanted to ask: My OKX wallet holds some USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). How can I transfer them to Binance?
You should dust your stuff before filming. :)
Do I have to though? I mean, these are all "in use" devices. Surely it's better they have some miles on the clock and some dust on the dash, rather than shiny and unused. That said, I definitely could have run a cloth over it for the vid...
They're countries, not regions!!
I get what you are saying, but also.."regions" are how he brands often view distribution. I.e. "Americas" or "UK and Nordic". It's because, for example, supplying Netherlands and/or Germany, means you supply "Europe" most of the time. The same as "Asia" is a big regional term for distribution. Hope that makes sense in why I discuss it in that fashion
Agree about the availability, lost out on sale from me as couldn’t make a purchase in UK so ended up get the Terramaster F6-242 Max instead.
6 bay nas only worth 650 dollars no matter what pc parts they put in ; nothing in there is worth 1200 or 1500 diskless
no, you shouldn't buy these:
1. Their OS is crap even after some big updates
2. If you ditch their OS and install your own 3rd party OS, there are other bare metal NAS or DIY options much cheaper
可以安装fnos,免费的。不影响质保。
What are these other bare metal NAS?
Like what?
to expensive in uk
NI + income tax + VAT feels like a triple combo hit , plus cost of living + electricity and gas price hike 😢
在中国只需要240英镑,找个中国留学生让他帮你转运到中国,总成本最多280英镑。

Ugreen hasn’t support, don’t buy their products
Chinese NAS are a non-starter for me. Cannot trust them never ever.
