I play with it off, but I've seen people use a shot meter that I'm not able to select. How did they unlock it? It's a huge straight meter above the players head.

Its insane that you have to chose either to release late or early. Like why tf can i not release on time?
They need to make the shot timing more relaxed in modes outside of my career. Its impossible to just play a game and try and master 10 guys shots. Some players are absolutely useless in this game because of how crazy the shot meter reacts when they shoot. Ruins the offline franshise experience for me.

Yeah I’ve never used an online mode on 2k before; I’m a casual gamer and like to have a franchise with short seasons. I played this game for a week before simply putting down the controller and saying “I’m not having fun”. It really, really sucks.
I literally had to only attack the rim with teams cause shooting really is near impossible unless someone just luckily has an easy shot to time. Needed this video

I had the curved meter on with it set to late but I might have to try early if it goes slower. Every player has a different speed, so just when I figure one out and shoot with another player, it messes up my timing. I could shoot mid-range shots and make them at a realistic clip last year. This year? I'm lucky if I hit one of ten in a game because the meter fills so fast. I didn't need perfect timing to make a shot last year, but this year it's perfect or brick. Yet again, another NBA 2K where they change up what was working like they do every year.

I miss the old 2ks like 2k14 and 2k16 where shooting was actually fun and not challenging I can’t even make a wide open shot without bricking at least in past 2ks you didn’t make all your shots but they went in

I have a 91 3pt rating on my 6'11 center and I'm LUCKY if I shoot for 35% from the arc in a game. And I this is while playing the "right way". I don't just chuck up 3s. I wait to get open, come off screens, run plays, wait for certain animations, game situations etc. And this is from someone who has been playing 2K for 10 years now. I mean what's the point of having a 91 rating if it all comes down to my timing?

@@youtubewatcher6124 Actually it took me a bit but after upgrading some badges AND really getting the shot timing down in practice I'm shooting like 65-75% from the 3pt line now. I learned that getting the shot timing down for the jump shot you choose is REALLY important though.
I'm so tempted to play with players shooting percentage, especially on hall of fame. Way too many shots missed

I play offline mostly so I use real player % and call it a day. Shooting this year just ain't worth the chore

I feel that. But it seems like the real player % is too easy, instead of 30% or 40% from 3, it's like 70% for some reason.

So here’s a question that I have. So my shot meter randomly just turned off in my career. I didnt panic and just went to the setting when it still said that it was on. I just keep playing without it and then my player indicator turned off. Help??
There's also a trick too like in every game once you learn the tricks and the trade you're good to go my friend but here's a trick if you press the shoot button before you catch the ball you're shoot meter will fill up a lot faster and you get green light all day long that's just a trick I found out our current gen this year

yea that should help with some players 3pt shooting example Max Strus his meter seems to take forever to fill up .. always release it too early but after watching this i'll be tweaking things. Somehow it got stuck on the comet meter... wow that thing is harsh.. oh you filled the meter but you didn't touch the green... 99% miss

Something is wrong with my side curved bar it slows down on alot of 3 point attempts and it's pretty hard to time it right..i cant shoot 3's anywhere close to as good as ppl i play online and I've been practicing all year..

Last year i played on allstar and shotmeter off. All good. This year the allstar is more difficult than last year shots dont go in like they would. Last year there was no semi-profi difficulty!

Hey maybe you can give me some advice so if I go into just the practice mode even on Hall of Fame I can green everything but it wouldn't comes to a game it's completely different most of the time when I use the square button I feel like maybe I'm holding it too long or something every time some of my guys are open I'll press the button too hard so to speak and no end up being long but if I just tap it it seems to help I also noticed the release is different playing online versus not online by just a little bit. What kind of tips would help with something like this where I'm over releasing so to speak… I'm having trouble getting the timing down again in practice mode that's easy no problem but when it comes time to the game that's when things get more That
To experience the true online jumpshooting latency, go reserve a private court inside the Gatorade Facility and practice shooting for about 15 minutes to an hour, so you'll be able to have muscle memory when releasing for your jumpshot. Do this everyday before you play an online game and your shooting percentage will improve significantly.
It's cuz these servers are so shitty everything is lagged as hell I just turned the meter off cuz it doesn't even realise when you let it go it's always late af this game honestly blows

My thoughts exactly Warriors are my home & fav team. In myteam I always do a Warriors theme team because I enjoy playing with them but this year its damn near impossible to have fun with them becsuse the shot timing for Steph, Klay & a few others is EXTREMELY difficult!
