I literally watch nba2k23 TH-cam videos daily and the algorithm just finally sent me here about 7 months late but so happy I have found it .... Great video(s) I juat started and play to watch them all this is what I have been looking for!!! ... you seem to do it effortlessly but your layup game is next level
Awesome video but can we get a video on shooting ? I’m having trouble making threes and mid range twos on Hall of Fame, trying to remember the releases when playing with a team, also, I feel like I’m not getting proper separation and even when I’m open I’m missing as well, but I can get to the rim without a problem but I don’t wanna play like that and continue to do the same cheese.
I'll look into this man! This is something I'm continuing to get better at, but I think I'm at a point where I can make a video on this! This is a big project so it'll likely take some time! My advice, is to know what to look for in different players, and key in on them! Some players, you actually got to look at the elbow, others you got to look at where the ball is on their head, and others you got to look for their feet (as they gather) and when their knees are fully unbent on their jumper! I'll try to do something on this!
@@KevinCruz016 I love this game but I stopped playing it for a month because I kept getting frustrated that I couldn’t hit open shots, I can get to the rim and also pen in post up with no problem but I’m a sim player and I don’t want to do that over and over and over again, I’d rather play real ball but it’s not happening right now, but I’ll look into what you’re saying.
@@ygg310 Yeah I switched it’s very late but man I’m still having issues with hitting open shots, I’m not playing with super star players and I’m guessing that’s the reason as well.
You should do an attack angle breakdown. I noticed that most of the crossover stepbacks are taken at the elbows. Snatch backs are taken at the top of the key and corners.
Oh my goodness I mix this with the Kobe/Westbrook video an I’m open dang near every time against the cpu an dudes in the park. Think Kev gave me a reason to give My Career another try
Let's go Tony!!!!! Yeah, the basics of this video, when you combine with a lot of the player specific tutorials I gave should get you open every time!!!
As always, elite content 💯 Not related to the vid but I’m currently trying to get 1 block for Moments Donovan Mitchell (I only have his NBA Series 1 card) and getting a block for moments Jalen Brunson was easier 🤣
@@KevinCruz016Finally got the block 🤣 in a moments of the week game on a buzzer beating shot from the AI. I’ve been implementing what you share into my game and it just makes 2K23 a better experience overall. Looking forward to what’s next 💯🏀
You can honestly get away with these around at an 80 rating. You wont have access to some of the best sigs though, which would be the biggest obstacle. I think the Lavine escape package and moving crossovers are elite, i think that gets unlocked at 85? But im not really sure
When I first got this game I could hardly win on pro! Fast forward two months later I’m blowing teams out by 70+ but not all the time the only team that beat me twice in the season was the Sonics with Payton and Kemp they are tough to beat and for some reason the Heat team with Tim Hardaway and Alonzo mourning however I’m unstoppable whenever Jordan is not injured lol…he was out for more than half the season and the first round of the playoffs
Massive W on the progress man!! Love to see it!! Dang, you holding it down with MJ hurt makes it even more impressive too! And those Sonics teams were really good, so I understand!
The lebron attack crossover is OP if you pull up for a middy after the 1st dribble.......then you can double up and rt after the 1st possession..... Then you can launch into a step back
Hi, I like your videos they are helpful. however for some reason, when I do mycareer, I do not see those 3 color indicators below my player, even when sizing up. can you help me how to enable those 3 zones?
I'll be working on a shooting tutorial but it's taking me some time! My advice is try to understand the shot animation of your player, maybe experiment with different shot timing settings (i have it on early in the settings), and try playing with or without the shot meter!
In reality specially the casual players will mess up their minds if they keep looking at the shaders. This 2K devs are crazy enough to put it up just to show where to engage but believe me it's is only an illusion. Why? Users who played since Live 95 knows how to beat HOF ai by just looking the body of the defender since this series. My point is not to focus on the green shading but instead master your own size-up hesi escape or any thriple threat cross escape. From there you can easily beat real players (users) in any given matches. This is where Kevins video of LaVines shine, you should make a video of it again because that is the main sauce bro.
I don't advocate looking at the defensive shading indicator, but I put some time into discussing it so that they know how the system works. I don't look at that because the defensive stance and the direction of movement can communicate that for the most part.
@@KevinCruz016 I'm not an expert when it comes to the shading but understanding the shading mechanics in light of the body positioning will eventually lead to understanding the body positioning all by itself.
Hey Kevin Hope all is well brother. I first want to tell you your amazing for the game you share with us. Much appreciated bro. If I may give you advice my brother. I want you to create your player and explode your channel. Your literally already there lol all you have to do is come outside lol they won’t be able to pick wit you bro. yooooo kev i was tryna get at you on twitter, but your dms off ... i posted up a lil myteam saucy mix with bob cousy the og sauce god. got some stepbacks, spins, euros in there. nasty off screen snake dribble into middy pull up buzzer beater too. you always an inspiration to us middy magicians brother ✌️
The three zones underneath the player icon (the circle) will tell you which direction you can attack. There's a left zone (9-11 o clock), middle zone (11 - 1 o clock), and right zone (1 -3 o clock). Depending on how your defender is guarding you, one of those 3 zones will be red, this means you cannot attack this zone. So for example, in my video, I purposefully attacked a red zone, and it resulted in a bump animation. I don't recommend looking at the red zones within the shading system, but it should give you an indication of how to attack your defender based on their movement and defensive stance. The goal is to shift your defender's body and momentum around, so that the zone you want to attack turns from a 'red' zone to a 'green' zone.
@@KevinCruz016 I love this explanation thanks. I just have one more question regarding the shading system. How much of the shading system plays a role into a contest percentage if at all?
Hey man, Im a advid myleague/play now player and I have trouble securing the ball in 1v1 situations. I get stripped almost all the time when I try to bust a quick move. Any advice? I play on HOF too
Love to hear it bro!! Yeah, people know how to guard a lot of the BS online because thats what theyre used to, but when you bring a lot of this out they dont know how to guard it!
Make a video of the Lavines thriple threat cross escape bro, that is the best way to beat the hof ai and ellite users. That is the best move in 2K23 that should be exposed. Because of that video I manage to create my combo similar with your masterpiece LaVine. Michael Jordan - Style Steve Francis - Sizeup Kevin Durant - Escape Russel Westbrook - Moving Damian Lillard - Behind Basic - Stepback LaVine - Hesi Basic - Spin Kobe - Thriple To do the complete Thriple Threat Cross Escape of Lavine it needed Lavines whole package that can't be done in My Career is very painful. And that above sets are near to Lavines natural dribble que moves.
I might look into a Lavine tutorial, but that's why I featured him heavily here! Those escape dribbles and triple threat combos are indeed very deadly! Great recommendation on dribble sigs though! I agree with these for the most part! But I'm not too much of a Steven Francis sizeup fan, even though it's really saucy!
I was trying to be generous bro 😂😂😂 most people don’t believe me when I say that the HOF CPU is better than most people because they dont know how to defend bro 😂😂

The three zones underneath the player icon (the circle) will tell you which direction you can attack. There's a left zone (9-11 o clock), middle zone (11 - 1 o clock), and right zone (1 -3 o clock).
