The reason it took you so long to get to the quantum moon is because you tunnel visioned so hard you didn't realize you were trying to align with its momentum while still within hollow bramble's gravity well practically the entire time. After you finally left the planet (see left side of screen) you got to the moon within a few seconds.

Easier more fun way to do this: place your ship at one of the locations of the tower shard at the tower of quantum knowledge on brittle hollow, and while waiting for the ground to break, standing in your ship, accidentally fucking look away from the shard a little too much so it literally teleports into the ship, causing your camera and headphones giving you a real life concussion, not realizing what the shit just happened
I saw someone do something similar in a lets play and it startled the shit out of me lmao. Took me until someone else explained it in the comments to understand what happened
One of the reasons why Outer Wilds is awesome. You can think of random scenarios and you can actually experiment and see what happens or if it'll work 😁
I wonder what would happen if you do this with those warp platforms that teleport you from planet to planet. If you put your ship at the destination, could you teleport directly into it? Would it explode?
I actually did this on accident during my first playthrough!! Had no idea what the heck happened, and I avoided moving the marble in the quantum moon ship for a really long time until I figured out what really happened xD
To go shipless to the quoom, it's easier to enter in orbit (go up and sideways, and out of the planet's atmosphere) than just up, so the booster has time to regenerate.
Teleported the shuttle back to the gravity cannon where the ship was landed, making the shuttle merge with the ship, and the physics engine interpreted thaqt as a powerful collision blowing up the ship.
It’s not difficult to jetpack off of most of the planets in OW. Only Giant’s Deep and Dark Bramble’s gravity is too strong to escape without using the scout launcher.
They left their ship on the gravity cannon launch pad then warped the nomai shuttle home to the same location. You can get a similar result by having a quantum object intersect with your ship (easiest option is the museum shard)

Sounds pretty Unreal to me.

Happened to me, luckily i wasn't inside the ship. But still scared the hell out of me
Lol took me embarrassingly long to realize what you were going to do.

Only one way to find out, right? :D Report back if you try it!

what is it that I see at 1:17, before the quantum moon appears, a smaller white sphere is shown?
ahhh just like the teleport gun in Unreal Tournament XD
I think that hurt a bit.

Back it's home launchpad: in this case to the Nomai gravity cannon on Brittle Hollow, where the Hearthian lander was parked.
