When you were loaded up, and then turned around, and said canvas. It reminded me of going out to plein air paint a couple weeks ago. I loaded up, found a nice creek to paint, took everything out of the car, took it over to unload, and no canvas board, not one! Lesson learded, always double check.
Looks great Turner. The glove sure gets the paint on quick then the brushes give diversity in mark making. How do you feel about gesso white canvas showing through and being part of it? I have an issue with that personally and like to ensure the whole surface has oil paint coverage so I cover the whole surface with a layer of oil paint at the beginning or beforehand. What's your take on that? Not an issue for you?
For layering you are right, u need to put a thin oily coat But here turner has his own style and following his heart. He is basically challenging the textbook teachings of thick over thin. He is putting lot of paint, impasto and mostly allowing colors mixing on the canvas. I personally find him v. Inspiring as life is short, live ur heart, be spontaneous. Turner correct me if I m wrong please.
That's not what I meant saju. Thick and thin is irrelevant if all done at same session. I meant the look of unpainted acrylic gesso being visible in places rather than full oil paint coverage of the canvas.
Soooooo goood, Turner! That canvas is huge!!!!
Interesting concept. As always, nice painting.
Love the effect of thick imposto paint application. Thank you for posting very inspiring.
You very Welcome.
Nice work, never been to Montana, but I bet it's nice. Interesting to mix brushwork with hand gesturing to get the effect you're after.
Love your thick application of paint very inspirational enjoy watching your process, Thank you for posting

Monet allowed white canvas to show through in his water lily paintings. I find it hard to do myself, but I can see where it works great.
Tout simplement géniale ! 😃😃❤❤🙏🇨🇵
Замечательно вышло!
So very alive! what a great piece my guy
If someone would ask :"Is Turner good ?" I would just frown and then turn my head towards him and just look at him ... Just look at him
Van Gogh 😊
It is a mess, but in big canvas it looks so good, it is not the way I paint but I really like it in big canvas
Do you use oil or acrylic, love your work
thanks! I'm using oil
Класс! Отличный пример, этюдной , пленэрной живописи!
