In the calligraphy art of my culture, it is said: "The words are like the person they are." I saw your wonderful oil sketching , your character, your originality, authenticity and frankness. The works reveal the spirit of hope in your heart: live well and forever.
Hi Turner, so nice to see you out and about. You're so inspiring. I've been plein air painter for years mostly in new hamp. Lots of snow paintings and worked outside right thru the coldest days. I've been just really getting into hand painting and so invigorating to push paint around with fingers. Unfortunately i moved to florida and turned ill.Now I'm condemned to painting small indoor pictures. I'm 74 but still hoping to recover to go join one of your classes. Your videos have helped me so much to get thru this tough time. Thanks for feeding my insatiable need to paint. You are GREAT! Hope to get out to see you!My Best to you and your growing family.
Fantastic! The Painting, the video… the whole thing. Nice job. Can’t believe you knocked that out in one session. And dealt with your camera and got all that footage.. then beautifully edited….
Being someone who scrimps to buy paint, I find watching this video so liberating. I am envious of your bravura and freedom of expression. Great work! By the way, sign that painting now, and don't mess with it any more.
It's lovely to watch you while you are at work. To hear the birds and the water that flows. How energetically and intensely you are painting. I admire you a lot. Warm greetings from The Netherlans...
Its amazing to me that you can mix and apply subtle grays and shadow colors and then highlights so spontaneously and the whole thing doesn't turn into a mud fest. Im also quite surprised it doesn't look cold in Montana in January.
Great Painting Turner! I am always inspired by your paintings, color choices and methods. I'm still struggling with getting a composition right and colors. Thank you!
Давно ждала ваши новые видео!Очень нравятся ваши картины и та смелость и страсть,с которой пишете их!Продолжайте и не останавливайтесь,вас ждет успех!Привет из России!)
Love, love, love your paintings!! such energy and excitement translates into a beautiful painting.. been following your work this past year and a friend of mine from Hamilton bought one of your paintings.. sunflowers!! I asked you earlier how long it takes for your paintings to dry, but I never received an answer.. the best to you and your family..with gratefulness from Reno, Nevada.💕👍
@@sethmegandoran2561 he/she probably means that the mountain/river/this kind of explanatory landscape representation 1:1 with nature/trees/rocks/grass and so on (pictorial aspect) are in a way too banal/naive and are somehow "trapping the true potential" of the bold impasto/paint (painterly aspect) he/she otherwise like. Probably he/she wants to see this same painterly aspect, but put in more imaginary composition (probably more abstract as well) where it's not the pictorial/nature that guides the paint, but the paint itself and the expression of it takes over the representation and often becomes the leading role. I see what he/she means in theory, but I am so exhausted from armchair art experts. If the observer "know the way" - better get those paints and canvas and the observer does what he/she means, instead of implying they know better way for the artist's own sake development.
Seems like 2-3 months, although this would be "dry to the touch" only, depends on the temperature of the room as well. Some medium and the type of oil paints could result in full drying for a month actually (for instance alkyd based oil paints and medium).
Thank you. I think a lot of painters would like to use paint directly from the tube more often and skip the drying mediums so it’s good to know that alkyd oriole paint dries faster than linseed oil based paints? I feel this is larger subject than the comments section accommodates for. @@LyubomirIko
@@mjjames2442 Sure, alkyd oil paints will dry very fast comparable to linseed oil based paints. Sometimes the paint will dry for a day, depends on how thin/thick you work. If you work thin, alkyd medium will allow even to put second undisturbed layers within a hour or two. Also depends on what colors/pigments you use. For instance Cadmium based colors; Titanium white will dry very slow, while Raw/Burnt umber; Prussian blue will dry very fast.
Love the pigment on that red. Blue is beaiutful too. So hard to say......plien air or abstract. I would have went into a woman blowing a dandelion back there. No Picasso.....

There are ways around that

Love the painterly aspect but the naive pictorial aspect betrays the energy of what you are trying to do I feel.
What does naive pictorial aspect mean? Genuine question

Drama before Art
Reckless drama

😊❤ 日本🇯🇵の風景画を描いて欲しいなぁー!😅😮😊
If you use paint brush. Not massy fingers. It will be better painting
What do you mean by better?
brushes cost a arm n leg
