  • This insane apartment shouldnt exist. Its almost touching the Manhattan Bridge, but its super quiet inside, which is mind blowing. If you think about it, the technology used in this apartment will let new yorkers live in peace, in the middle of one of NYC’s best neighborhoods.

      This guy is quite a piece of work. He now alternates videos showing the rat hole NYC has become, with shilling for multi million dollar apartments with which he never reveals the monthly charges and he alternates this with converted tenements that have no living room and suggests you find three or four roommates.

    It's a nicely-finished apartment, but 1.4 million for a 2-bedroom unit isn't a bargain price. Add to that the building fees and the cost of buying a parking space if you want one. It may have first-class soundproofing, but the vibration/subliminal rumble from the bridge must be detectable, and it makes the terrace almost unusable. It looks like the neighborhood stores don't sell anything that I could afford.

    I lived in NYC for 8 years, from Australia, I returned home 12 years ago. I love watching your channel because it’s crazy to see how things have changed in as little as a decade. Now there is no way I could afford to live there, but 12 years ago was very different. I miss New York a lot, but I also enjoy being home, and not living in a concrete jungle. New York was definitely a much more convenient place to live, everything right outside your front door, no need for a car, easy transportation and stores, food places open 24/7, and the best people watching place ever. I was never bored there, even if I was broke, because just sitting in a park or standing on a corner block, and watching people was very entertaining. There was always something to do, and I knew everyone in my street, all the neighbors were like family, and all the local store owners knew me. It’s just not the same way in Australia, but there is good and bad in any place you live, most of my NYC memories are great though.

      As a kid, our house was 4 houses north of a very busy freight track.
      The first month or so, it'd wake us up every couple hours. After that; hardly noticed it at all.
      Plus, we got to put coins on the tracks and smash 'em whenever we wanted.

    People in NYC find it trendy and are paying a lot of money to live under a bridge down by the river. We’ve come full circle.
    To be fair I stayed in a place in Lincoln Park Chicago that you could open one window on the west side and nearly touch the train as it came by. It was like a small earthquake when it came by. You quickly learn to not leave stuff on the edge of countertops. Rent was $399 a month at the time though so I can’t really complain.

This is a great place, but my home costs less than a quarter of this one, has a much better view of local rail traffic, and is 3x the space with better amenities. The only "downside" ... I have to drive 10 minutes to get to my local Publix to get groceries, and a little further for other shopping. And I don't have those amazing NYC views. I guess life is all about compromise...

    I've never seen a channel switch between promotional videos and unsponsored ones so seamlessly. It's interesting cause you're supposed to mark any video in which you received any free item (like a review unit) as containing promotional content, but the content itself is the perk of advertising it in this instance.
    The advertiser and advertised business are on the same page, both genuinely wanting to advertise because the advertisement is content. It's a little concerning to wonder if this trend is going to take over. Still fairly entertaining tho ngl

      Location my friend. There are many activities you can do few meters and blocks away from this place. Also within this city, the apartment's spot allows you to reach alot of important city areas and neighborhoods in relatively low time.
      It's about taking advantage of city life while enjoying a reliable place to rest and shelter after an agitated work schedule, plus obtaining considerably more living space and comfort than the average New York residential property.
      Furthermore, I don't believe there are much places where you can obtain a mansion with 1.5 million dollars nowadays. Additionally, even it were possible in some place close to nothing, I bet after some months you would be bored of being inside your mansion with nothing and no one to spend your time with.

    • @the5THofNOV
      @the5THofNOV 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@pdpc1013 Location wouldnt do it for me and in a place like NYC I would tire of the traffic congestion pretty quickly. Theres literally hundreds of places where you could get a mansion for 1.5 mill. In the suburbs of many cities you can get a 5 bedroom house for $500,000 so im sure 1.5mill could get at least a 7 bedroom. Its cities in Florida where i could get an oceanfront home for that money, American cities vary drastically from NYC. Why do you equate living in a mansion with being bored and lonely? I would never be bored I have a family and kids. And we could always drive 20 minutes downtown or the beach
