Wow. I have not seen video of Oshine in a very long time. I remember watching episodes of Monkey World from when she was still very overweight. I knew they would more than likely be successful at getting her down to a more healthy size, and so glad to see they truly have done a remarkable job of getting her healthy. Bulu is a gorgeous Orangutan. Monkey World is an amazing organization. The work they do on behalf of primates is outstanding and an example of human beings living up to our reputation as the most intelligent species on the planet. Thank you so much for sharing your video of this remarkable place. .
Thank you so very much Ape Tracker!! Love Monkey World so much for giving a home to so many lost and broken souls!! I hope we can see more of these videos from you in the future!!😊❤❤
A wonderful place, I haven't been there in years. Lovely to see Kayan doing well. Alison and Jeremy do a fantastic job, as do all the other dedicated members of staff. ❤
@@ApeTracker1while you were there, did you notice if they got the group of Baboons. That's where they left off last season. I can't wait for the upcoming season.
Bulu mata = eyelashes. Hujan = rain. Sadly these orangutans haven't had the best lives, but at least they are in a safe place now. Thanks ape tracker. 🙏🏻
Thank you, the colours of the orangs are beautiful, they all had thick colourful healthy hair, just stunning ! It was also really apparent, the colour differences between the Bornean and Sumatran youngsters Rieke has beautiful, lighter, orange, hair that really glowed in the light, and the signature longer facial hair - she is so cute ! Bulu has impressive thick hair. Hujan, Kayan and Oshine have deeper orange hair and Kayan seems to have thinner hair on her head than when she was at Twycross Zoo What's fascinating, is how much baby orangutan hair changes as they grow and mature. They sometimes have long wild hair when they are around a year old, only to loose it and get it growing back thicker as they mature into adults 🦧🧡
Hello Kayan! (RIP Kibriah) . I bet Basuki misses you. Easy to note the differences in the colours of the coats.. Oshine, as a Bornean, has a quite dark coat. It also appears she is a walker, fantastic. She walks with very straight legs and appears to have very long arms
OMG....I love Monkey World & hope to visit there some day. I can't believe how big they're getting. It's amazing how much better Oshine looks now. Thanks for the awesome video!!
Hope you get to visit Monkey World, it is a wonderful sanctuary in a beautiful part of the country It is heartwarming to see all the monkeys and apes living a better life their, with a dedicated team caring for them Thanks for watching ! 🐵🦧🧡🥰
Wow! Oshine has lost so much weight!! Fantastic!! The last season of Monkey Life was 16, and in it Oshine(Osheen?) Was 80 kilograms and still clinically obese. They said that they eventually wanted her to get pregnant but wanted her to be in good condition before even thinking about it. I know that they put a birth control implant in her then. But they don't always work so I'm a little bit surprised that they have her living with Bulu Mata. But maybe she didn't get along with the other alpha males.
Oshine has come a long ways, if you didn’t see her when she got there, you wouldn’t believe the weight loss and complete health change. Monkey world is amazing and they completely care about these animals and want the best for them. 💜💜
I didn't see her in person when she was overweight, but I have seen the Monkey World footage She looks amazing now, the team at Monkey World have done an awesome job caring for her, and ensuring she, and all the animals in their care are healthy and happy. I was in awe of her kind and nurturing nature to the babies and youngsters in her group, and the amazing way she walks bipedally on 2 legs ! she is a truly amazing ape ! 🦧🧡
Thanks for the video. AT. I wonder at Monkey World keeping Sumatran and Bornean orangutans in the same enclosure. Does MW plan to allow them to breed? If so, I hope they don’t mix the species. Sumatran orangutans are more critically endangered than the Bornean, and any couple of Sumatrans are a precious resource for the species. Nevertheless, I am glad that these ones have a home where they are well cared for.
I get what you mean, I know a lot of chimp sanctuaries who have lab chimps rescued will usually put them on birth control because every chimp born is a 30+ year commitment and the labs don't breed them with regards to their species at all so they might do that here, but orangutans are also a lot pickier so it's possible they do things differently
Well said ! Monkey World is a fantastic Charity and sanctuary for these magnificent and critically endangered apes The work they do is invaluable for the health and wellbeing of these previously abused and vulnerable animals 🧡

Yes is was wonderful to see her, she is looking great and plays an important role caring for some of the younger Orangutans. 🥰
Love monkey world and have been on TH-cam for several years!

MY DARLINGS! I love monkey world
It is a wonderful place, glad you enjoyed the video.
Great video ❤
Thanks for watching, really glad you enjoyed the video, enjoy the rest of your week and keep well.
They look so cute walking upright
They can be quite comical when walking on two legs. 🥰
It's mostly Oshine that walks upright as she was raised as like a human in the family home, only learning to act like humans
Oshin has lost a lot of weight? She looks amazing, nice work by all at Monkey World!
Rieke is a beautiful lady. 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉.

I can assure you that they know what to do and what not to do.

So magnificent.
Dear ape tracker, thanks for this and one more thing, did you read my last comment about this from the community?
Oshine is so small!
They can't really swing tho can they? They need some trees.
I wonder if they know there names when staff calls them?
Yes, they always respond to their names even when it is from visitors. 🥰
Find a good Orangutan charity, like this one, to help out. It’s money well donated
