Alright, here it is! Part #1 of our annual Chicago Arcade Adventure with my pal Greg from Arcade Impossible. In this video, we are going to eat a ton of Chicago food. Seriously... like too much. :) Then, we'll do some arcade stuff by taking an all access tour of Logan Hardware and Logan Arcade in Chicago, IL. Zespy, the owner, is super cool and shows us all around. Such an awesome time! So many really unique and rare games. This place is a must visit when you are in Chicago.

Oh man, I'd go broke in the first Logan Hardware building in nothing flat. If I were there with you guys,. once I laid eyes on that big rack of 78's up front in the record building, it'd be game over - I've been collecting 78's for 29 years and I'd be spending the whole day there thumbing through those 78's. Like "Yeah, you guys go check out the games, I'm planting roots right here." LOL!
Twice I brought well over 100 pounds of 78's back from New Orleans on my lap on the train to Maricopa, Arizona. ;)
This has been the best Johns Arcade ever for me!. Sometimes the arcade tours look rushed like you're expecting to get busted and thrown out, which in a way is exciting, but this has been an utter delight, and what a super cool guy was Zespy was with his total enthusiasm for history of gaming and his extraordinary ability to work that into a public accessible facility.
Love the food stops before too, I'm in the UK and rarely travel anymore, but this vid has really made me want to visit Chicago.

entertaining video John. i enjoy your jolly personality. Of course the arcade was incredible and the food looked delicious. But the most astonishing thing was the food tray that attached to your car. Mind blown!

I was at a superdawg not too long ago, when I went to the pinball expo. Never knew about it until then, good place.
Hahaha that part cracks me at about 22:15. John: "What? You want it plain. No. No. No. Okay, get 3 super dogs with everything, and one plain, for the kid over here."
It's like John is frustrated with it. You can't have a hot dog of this caliber, and on this trip of good eats and get ... get ... a plain super dog. You should of just ordered him something of the kids menu for him. lol jk

Just found this channel a few days ago. Really enjoying the vids. If I may make an out-of-left-field compliment, one of the things I enjoy most about your vids is the fact that they look like they actually take place on planet earth. I know that sounds weird, but look at every other TV show and video being produced now--apparently radioactive day-glow colors are very trendy. Extreme contrasts where human beings look like orange Ooompa-Loompas, and the landscape is this cold alien dimension. ...But your videos are like how I remember television shows used to be--nice and pleasant and natural looking. People have identifiable flesh tones and they exist on a planet I recognize.

Wow just wow. Retro music store with a secret arcade in the back and then down the street a huge arcade bar with a Tron deadly discs you can sit inside! The Galaga 88 was glanced past too quickly it's one of the best of it's genre. Wow those games in the very back room pristine pinball the soviet pilot game and the prototype in the back dream destination arcade!

I was wondering if you could/would do an '"On The Road" video at a place called Jumperz Fun Center here in Fleming Island, Florida. It has bowling, tactical laser tag, & our personal favorite, an arcade. Please take that into consideration.

I laughed when it was explained that the goal of the Pig Out game was to eat as many calories as you can, when in the first half of the video that was exactly what you guys were doing :) Real life Pig Out!

Hey, John, interesting timing, to go out there and back just a few days before Thanksgiving. :-) I like that your vehicle is a stickshift! So is my blue 2001 4X4 Dodge Dakota (pickup)! But if you were just gonna "drive there" (implying all the way there -- and of course your Cruiser is with you), then why is there a shot from inside an airplane?
Also, why do you call that an "Explorer" (a Ford model) if it's really an FJ Cruiser (Toyota)?
My other vehicle is an Explorer.
Ahh, okay! I'll have to go rewatch the video where I think I found that and pay closer attention to the detail there.

Wow, I never knew that just from one highway, while looking straight "down the barrel" of the road takes you into one state, right next to and within yards of that, off on the turnout, you're suddenly in yet *another* state! How did the developers make that work out?
