Have you got any tips for me? Im a freshwater angler looking to catch a keeper. Im a local amd live here and reslly want to try and catch a bass frok land or from boats do any advice or areas for me and my grandad to go to? Many thanks 🙏
@@JasperThorne-o7d Hi pal, if you’re looking for a keeper bass off the boat the needles is your easiest/best bet! Live baiting on a float can pick out the bigger fish or a metal jig close to the bottom. From the shore I’d suggest mackerel head and guts and cast close in. (Although they will pick up pretty much any bait if they’re feeding!). With most sea fishing the most important factor will be conditions, you’ll benefit from a nice onshore breeze producing some good surf and decent tides to have the best chance. Any of our local beach marks will produce good bass. Best of luck and do let me know when you’ve landed a whopper! 👍 🎣
@ the last few months are the best time of the year for big bass fishing. As we move into the colder months and mackerel shoals move off the shore fishing can quieten (although you can still catch). I’ve found good bass fishing off the boat all year round 😊
Wow what a session love bass and the hit they give ,I told your mum we have a meet up with guernsey TH-camrs and Uk on the 31 may at evening hill,I will put post up on my community soon, hope you and your mum can join,it’s the easier place for everyone to park and meet up and maybe try and get a fish 👊👍😊
Can’t beat it! Thanks for watching. She did mention it to me, funnily enough I’m in Jersey that week for a trip! Will check the dates and try get down if I’m back by then 👍
Great enjoyable video ,you've got a great ethos, new sub here ,do you think there should be a limit on bream as well, you see some popular TH-cam fishing channels filling buckets for pot bait
Thank you! Very much appreciated. As a recreational angler I'd happily fish to a limit on bream. I've personally only ever taken 2 or 3 per session max for the table. The only thing I typically load up on once or twice a year is mackerel for bait. I'm also a big supporter of upper size limits being put in place - I saw another boat take a double figure bass on the weekend for the table which just felt wrong! :(
Cracking video!! Glad to see the birds working. I’ve given you a sub! 😁🎣
Fantastic to see isn’t it! Much appreciated 👍
Fish on !!!!!!!!
😂 Can’t beat that feeling!

@@SeaSmith 🤣🤣🤣🤣make sure you visit the bunker in the cliffs it s massive has all the beds and war time stuff in there
@@Fishingdorsetlive Thanks! I'll add it to the list of things for us to check out!
Great video, the only trouble is now the netters will be out there and wipe them all out
There is always that worry, but the bass have seem rather prolific of late!

@@SeaSmith nice one,I also only take bass between 460 and 580 ,people who take the bigger breeders aren't true anglers imho
I read that as 50lb bass landed 😂 idiot me
I wish! 😂
@@SeaSmith that would definitely give us both a heart attack 🤣
