You're an absolute master with the true spirit of aloha. I've been playing your videos on repeat again today. Best contemporary squareneck music on TH-cam!

Yes, I hear the styles of Benny and Feet Rogers coming through admirably! You are attracting lovely, but so well deserved comments from very astute listeners who appreciate really good music! I find it heartening to read them, as I'm sure you do too - and that your huge talent and excellent work is noticed by so many. Alooooooooooooha!

Oh yes Sebastian! I've had 60 years of playing the steel guitar [on and off] with very little incentive and encouragement throughout - and hence not that much to show for it. That's why it's important to give a special talent like yours all the praise that it deserves. Aloha! @@HawaiianSteelGuitar

Unbelievably great musicianship! Tickles my ears. Brand new to playing a square neck resonator, but I am making a meager first attempt at dobro with this tune from your video, except using open G tuning. It's taking me a while, but I'm slowly progressing with your harmonics part. Thank you for your excellent music and showing me "how to do it right".

Really beautiful playing. I have never tried the high A bass tuning, what gauge strings are you using? It must be quite high tension!

Thank you ! I use 16/18/22 (all plain) and 30/39/47 (wound).

I like the mellow sound from those plastic fingerpicks. You should also try out the ProPik Finger-Tone fingerpicks. They have a nicer tone than normal metal picks, and they are really nice for playing those one hand harmonics as they expose your fingertips. *Not sponsored* :D

Cool, will check these ProPik Finger Tone Pics out. These plastic picks stick out quite a bit and I am used to it but I could see that for some playing techniques shorter picks are the way to go. On electric steel I actually like the sound of metal finger picks better but I am to lazy to switch back and forth 😊 !

The dobro and electric lap steel guitar were both made for Hawaiian music.
