I spent 3 years living in a hyundai accent hatchback in my 20s. I took all the seats out except the driver’s seat, put a futon mattress in the back, and lined my stuff along the walls and in the passenger side. It was a very minimalist existence, which I love, and I could travel for so little money. On the outside it just looked like any other car, and with how small it was I could go anywhere. I’m married now, she likes to have a home. I miss it, but it was a sacrifice I was willing to make for her.

The couple used own big house n sold it n buy buss n build it look like home ). To the van owner , they can upgrade their house , to have washroom n shower is definitely nice n important to have . If you even watch 62 years old lady living in the van , she’s actually has shower n toilet in the middle of the van. She hide it under kitchen table ( first time I saw I thought omg but after I saw this van doesn’t hv one , I thought the 62 year old lady was brilliant . 👏👏

@@JaxAustin I have spent $0 the last 10 years on mortgage, gasoline, vehicle tax/repairs, parking, and tolls. The last year I had a car I spent $6000 just on repairs, so no, condolife is cheaper/better.... for me at least.
It may be cheaper, but in my opinion, you don’t get to live & experience as much. Because you mainly stay in the same man-made place rather than exploring and appreciating all the beautiful places this earth has to enjoy. Those are the most valuable things in life that bring meaning & adventure.

I drove school bus as a profession for three years and, you can to drive a bus to the store. A class on how to drive a school bus and how to use air breaks would be helpful. Note: don't pump on the breaks like that! They are air breaks! Pumping them down depletes the air i.e no stopping power 😬❤️

Gosh sometimes I envy this lifestyle!! Like just waking up in the morning and visiting different places, and actually doing something instead of laying in bed doing Jack and being bored most of the time.
I guess it depends how you live. Even when I have to stay in for weeks at a time because of the pandemic, I have the internet, a telephone, lots of food to cook and eat, and books and movies and interesting stuff to look at in my Manhattan apartment. I am rarely bored.
It was HILARIOUS at the end when Bec asked what the first thing Maria was gonna do when she gets back in the bus was. She said "I've been holding my poop all day, I'm gonna go have a poop". LMAO

Hey guys, I'm a pilot in San Diego. I noticed you were in San Diego. I'm not going to tattle-tale because I don't think you were endangering air traffic in the area, but be careful about where you fly your drone because federal law says you gotta be 5 miles away from any airport (unless you get permission from the control tower). Based on where you were filming in the southeast end of Mission Bay, you were about 2.5 miles away from San Diego International Airport. With some airports, being that close could be an issue. With San Diego, based on the traffic flow around that airport, I don't think you were causing an issue (and if you had called the control tower, they would have probably gladly given you permission with just a 5 minutes phone call). If you need info about how to know where to fly your drone and how to call control towers, let me know. I can help you. It's easier than it sounds. EDIT: it looks like the rules are to stay below 400' above the ground, and not to be in class B, C, or D airspace. There are some apps (like airmap) to help, but I looked at it and it wasn't even quite 100% accurate. But better than not consulting it.

And I did pinpoint specifically where they were at and used Google Earth to accurately measure. I don't personally care about this one instance. I don't want them to get into trouble. I want to educate them how to stay out of trouble. I know the routes into/out-of that airport, and I know an airplane wouldn't have been in that spot at that low altitude. But I'm informing them of the rules, which are only a couple years old, so not a lot of people know about them. Casey Neistat got in trouble with the FAA with his drone. If they had flown their drone 1100' higher, that would be precisely where I routinely fly small aircraft. I don't want a drone to hit my engine and cause a catastrophic engine failure and subsequent crash. EDIT: The aerial shot at 2:37 is pointing at fiesta island from the southern end of fiesta island. That's the shot that's 2.5 miles away from the San Diego airport runway.

Gotta pull the parking brake after putting the transmission in park dude! (Yellow button @4:54 to the left of the keys.. you'll hear it engage) also I noticed when you started it, it had a hard time turning over (starting) .. you have to turn the key to the on position (but don't turn it all the way so it doesn't try to start YET) you have to give it maybe 5 to 10 seconds after turning the ignition key to the ON position to get the glow plugs hot, THEN after 5-10 seconds try to start it. Diesels use glowplugs instead of spark plugs and they need to be HOT before you try to start it. Just a little quirk to Diesel engines.

Haha I think it’s relatively harmless because it’s all a matter of preference and functionality for their lifestyles. I mean each couple definitely picked their van/bus for a reason and customized it to what they prioritize so switching to the other probably confirmed exactly why they chose the van/bus for their lifestyle 😂😂
Ha ha lol Size matters, and to me my 20’ short bus is the answer. I can park anywhere any van can park but i am 1.5 ft wider or 20 sq ft larger space than a van. No sliding door opens up more of that space to do whatever you want with it. My channel demonstrates I can almost park it anywhere for the night as if it was a stealth mini van.
Am i like the only one who wonders if you can just drive such a massive bus with your normal license in the Americas? Seems a bit unsafe if that is the case. In Europe you need a bus license to drive auch a huge vehicle 🤔
Kinda late but you really just need a commercial license for the states that require it, some just need a drivers license. The commercial license can be used for any large vehicles like buses trucks and etc
That was really nice, getting his Jeep washed but you don't take soft top Jeeps through automatic car washes because the soap isn't supposed to get on the tops...

Okay. When I saw all these van videos I wasn’t sure if I ever wanted to live in a van but a bus...YESSSS. It has more space and it’s longer. It fits more including a WHOLE BATHROOM and I just think that’s amazing! There is so much more in it and I have nothing against van life cuz even that seems fun but I would literally love living in a bus !
So what was the "pop" that killed the power? Just curious. I loved seeing them try to get used to the rougher life of the van. Both life styles have their advantages and disadvantages. Good look at both.
The pop was their inverter as it has a protection switch that protects it when their batteries get too low! Hence why Chase knew there may be an issue for us at night lol!! And we totally agree... each way of living is beautiful and totally unique! It was a blast experiencing the other side ❤️✨
Hahahaa this was great! I love that you all really got into it 😂 There are definitely pros and cons to both spaces, but I personally prefer a smaller vehicle for ease of travel😊

I live in my 36 foot bus stationary And now realize that to travel in it would be awful. I would totally choose the VAN. I loved this video great fun to watch and totally relate to the high mait of a big bus, even though I am not on the road. I spend most of my time in the back of the bus in the bedroom because it is so freeking hard to heat the whole thing. Its been really cold winter and Im excited for summer but then I gotta cool the whole huge thang too. eekkkk....Get a van everybody or a short bus.

(Yellow button @4:54 to the left of the keys.. you'll hear it engage) also I noticed when you started it, it had a hard time turning over (starting) .. you have to turn the key to the on position (but don't turn it all the way so it doesn't try to start YET) you have to give it maybe 5 to 10 seconds after turning the ignition key to the ON position to get the glow plugs hot, THEN after 5-10 seconds try to start it. Diesels use glowplugs instead of spark plugs and they need to be HOT before you try to start it. Just a little quirk to Diesel engines.
Each has their pro's and con's... everybody is looking happy though, so wins all around !

Haha I think it’s relatively harmless because it’s all a matter of preference and functionality for their lifestyles. I mean each couple definitely picked their van/bus for a reason and customized it to what they prioritize so switching to the other probably confirmed exactly why they chose the van/bus for their lifestyle 😂😂

Size matters, and to me my 20’ short bus is the answer. I can park anywhere any van can park but i am 1.5 ft wider or 20 sq ft larger space than a van. No sliding door opens up more of that space to do whatever you want with it.
My channel demonstrates I can almost park it anywhere for the night as if it was a stealth mini van.
So cute that Maria got into saying "buddy". She even said it to the porta-potty door. Haha :)

Am i like the only one who wonders if you can just drive such a massive bus with your normal license in the Americas? Seems a bit unsafe if that is the case. In Europe you need a bus license to drive auch a huge vehicle 🤔

Depends on the state, some require a special license just because its a bus, others measure if its pass a certain weight or length.
Kinda late but you really just need a commercial license for the states that require it, some just need a drivers license. The commercial license can be used for any large vehicles like buses trucks and etc
I live in Ohio, in the U.S & you have to have your " CDL liscense " to drive a bus. Lol

Okay. When I saw all these van videos I wasn’t sure if I ever wanted to live in a van but a bus...YESSSS. It has more space and it’s longer. It fits more including a WHOLE BATHROOM and I just think that’s amazing! There is so much more in it and I have nothing against van life cuz even that seems fun but I would literally love living in a bus !

So what was the "pop" that killed the power? Just curious. I loved seeing them try to get used to the rougher life of the van. Both life styles have their advantages and disadvantages. Good look at both.
The pop was their inverter as it has a protection switch that protects it when their batteries get too low! Hence why Chase knew there may be an issue for us at night lol!! And we totally agree... each way of living is beautiful and totally unique! It was a blast experiencing the other side ❤️✨

I live in my 36 foot bus stationary And now realize that to travel in it would be awful. I would totally choose the VAN. I loved this video great fun to watch and totally relate to the high mait of a big bus, even though I am not on the road. I spend most of my time in the back of the bus in the bedroom because it is so freeking hard to heat the whole thing. Its been really cold winter and Im excited for summer but then I gotta cool the whole huge thang too. eekkkk....Get a van everybody or a short bus.
