ah..no you got it wrong. the fan dance presented by women is a modern thing. much like irish river dance. it hints of tradition but not really. the fan dance was actually derived from a male dance, done by drunken rich men with not much to do. it is called han lyang moo or bum dance. so a dance done by dudes with nothing better to do but the money to chill.

Jungkook section - representation of Talchum (Mask dance) which has origins based in cleansing rituals, protection and a good harvest. band and dancers - representations of Nongak (farmer's dance) and Saja - mu (lion dance) (the two dancers doing the barrel rolls as well as other members of the bands rotate their heads to constantly twirl the streamers on their hats.) The background track was done with traditional instruments as a response to critics saying they have become westernized. (also said in previous comments) The costumes are modern interpretations of Hanbok, traditional Korean clothing. The ending was changed to have Jin in the center because the performance was either on or around his birthday. If I'm a little off on this info please add to it, I'm a little rusty on Korean history
One thing to note: - The original song was mixed by staff at SNU. They mixed in a modern rave song with traditional Korean music. This is version is a further remix by SNU to push more Korean traditional sounds and complemented by the 3J doing traditional Korean dances.
From hanbok I always remember the trend Jungkook started by wearing modernized hanbok He was so praised by Koreans and kmedia were whipped for him it was around like 2019 I think

Jimin won award for presenting this fan dance. In korea it's usually done by femal dancers but Jimin as usual breaking the stereotypes. Love it.
