I'm glad Tim dialed back the protection on this one, sounds similar to Hero and Rrw (though I don't think that one is "ceramic" in nature). After some side by side testing on a bare coating with DIY and other rinseless washes that don't contain any of that, I have not noticed any difference in coating behavior when using those products. I have a glut of rinseless to go through at this point (including a gallon of Idrosave that I got from an Eddie giveaway), but I will pick up a 16 oz bottle of this at some point to give it a try.

@ethoscarcare I think it could be possible since other sponges come in blue(Lake Country Blue Grout Sponge also Sudz Budz), red(Speed Master from Autogeek, DIYDetail has two sides one black and the other red, Optimum Big Red wash sponge), yellow(McKee's 37), just a matter of using the dye in the paired color of your product so it's unique

Unfortunately not possible to dye foam in this composition, it is not like Microfiber that can be dyed any color. Foam is sourced from only a handful of suppliers, one reason you only see so many colored foam polishing pads as well.

Out the gate, all have knocked the sponge a tad. If the package design was on the sponge that would have been cool but I guess it might have compromised the cleaning capabilities or increased the price point. Hi Mike GOD bless you man for the videos you make I learn some new things all this time I am watching you .I mix ech2o with diy rinse less for gloss and is working fine and both are used in sunny weather real hot 40 degrees Celsius but both are sun friendly i use the BRS sponge
When the Rag Company released the gray Ultra Safe Sponge it was in response to the two most common complaints of the Ultra Black Sponge which was the black color and the sponge wasn't soft enough. We don't use black microfiber towels to wash our cars except maybe the wheels so why is a black colored sponge a good idea in that you can't tell if it gets dirty and if the dirt gets released when you dunk it in the rinseless bucket?
I have a lot of RW’s. But like you I think I’m taking a break. Might as well pick one and stick with it. I have a lot to use up, can’t quite find my go to yet. It’s between ONR V5, DIY V2, RRW, and Absolute.

@MikeGDetailing Way easier then ADS Pro lol. ADS is worth it to me, just have to swap towels more then I'm used to. I have ADS stack on the whole bed sextion of my truck and it's fantastic. Ethos Pro directly after ADS was significantly easier. A hint of tacky on the first wipe then very slick. However like I have found with graphene coatings, once cured it's still not as slick as ADS. I couldn't see the rainbow very well on either coating that day. Was evening and not the best lit garage on a silver car. So I went off of feel. Ethos V2 is simple and forgiving. Ethos Pro felt very similar with a little more initial tack.
My original plan was to do Ethos Pro on the cab of my truck to directly compare between ADS. Just haven't gotten around to finishing my own vehicle (only did the bed with ADS). Purchased another bottle of Ethos Pro the other day to likely stick with that plan. (Previous coating on that truck is Adam's graphene 7) Diy 8 year is on my lady's suv and I have to say, it is really setting the bar high. Single layer, very easy application, and gets washed at best once a month by me with only DIY products (for testing on that car) and I still performs like day, 10 months in.
Havent tried surfactant type rinseless washes yet, just onr and absolute. Im looking for one im looking at ads few days ago and boom almost all their prices at amazon went up. So that leaves diy,ethos,mckees and the hydra v3 as my choices ( stil got half of the gallon abosulte) #ethos

I was at 95 degrees but anything that dried came off with a little spray and wipe with a towel. I'm excited to try it out long term and see if it's one I continue to reach for. #Ethos

#ethos. Like several other comments I would not use a black sponge to wash a car. You can’t see grit that may be on the sponge and you can’t see if grit was removed when you dunk it in the rinseless bucket. They don’t recommend black microfiber towels to wash and dry your paint so why use a black sponge?
I agree 100%. Plus it's possible to make a rinseless sponge in other colors since you can currently get them in red, blue, gold, gray and green from other brands.
Hybrid seems good to top off your coating. I'm excited to get to trying it. Hero has turned me into a big Rinseless guy looks like Hybrid will be my next purchase unless I win haha. #ethos

I don’t mind a little protection on it as long it doesn’t effect the cleaning power am kool with it. Just curious to see how long it last. I wash on a weekly basis
Does not add any protection to the surface whatsoever. The ceramic in the formula is completely emulsified in surfactants so it is used for cleaning ability and not protection. There are other gloss additives that will impart a noticeable shine but wont interfere with any prep or protection steps.
Well no rinseless is going to soften water. Any of them will work just fine. If you are working outside then you will be working panel by panel. But in most cases you won't have water spotting issues with a rinseless wash. At least you shouldn't. So you would be fine with DIY Detail V2, Armour Detail Supply Hero, Phoenix EOD Hydra, Ethos Hybrid, KCX RRW. These are just some off the top of my head that I enjoy using.

It is so close. I like the fact that Ethos chose something different with the ability of the silica to actually aid in cleaning. Hero uses the silica for slickness. I have gotten to the point where I do not have a top dog with how good these rinseless washes are these days.
@@ethoscarcare just curious bro why a rinseless before everything ? I mean I’m fairly familiar with rinseless products and you’ve been working on one since 2018 ? Why didn’t you guys go with the same surfactant in panel prep, With the sio2 non binding type years ago ? I know that was around for a while with some of the older rinseless products “ Wolfgang “ had something similar nobody knew about , blackfire which is almost the same thing. A few other non binding sio2 rinseless products came out on 2019 but got no traction at all. One guy out of Tx made one but it died in the first 6months or so. Yeah yeah why not thr non binding sio2 instead of a full on sealant ?

That sponge could have been the color paired to the Rinseless, so it doesn't look like the Ultra Black Sponge from TRC

Why didn’t you guys go with the same surfactant in panel prep, With the sio2 non binding type years ago ? I know that was around for a while with some of the older rinseless products “ Wolfgang “ had something similar nobody knew about , blackfire which is almost the same thing. A few other non binding sio2 rinseless products came out on 2019 but got no traction at all. One guy out of Tx made one but it died in the first 6months or so. Yeah yeah why not thr non binding sio2 instead of a full on sealant ?
