Watching the crew install this sprinkler system was impressive. I do think you could take this on as a DIY project if you have the time. What do you think? Take this on yourself or pay the pros?
I did this myself on my 9000 sqft, 8 zones lawn in March. I really enjoyed installing it, and it works amazingly. I would definitely do it again myself.
Thanks for breaking it all down while pros did the install. The previous owner of our home had a sprinkler system yet had not used it for years. Getting to see how pros go about an install and your detailed description gives me the confidence to get it working again. Thank you!
Hey Dave! Thanks for the kind words. Glad it might be helpful for someone.. if you have any questions feel free to reach out. I can always ask my Buddy who's an irrigation expert. Have an awesome day
Wow very well explained! I had no idea about the software to help design a system and the different spouts for grass vs plants. Great video as always Brad!
Hahaha Thanks buddy.. ya, irrigation system is a load of hard labor lol. Good to hear from you as well. Hoping I can get back at posting consistently here.. Hope all is well and see ya next time I'm in Florida! 😎
Hey Jay! Where i live, Calgary, poly is the standard pipe used for residential irrigation installs. PVC is typically cheaper. Either or is fine, but would stick with whatever product is used in your market to make it easier to find parts. I spoke with my irrigation guy and he said, "Personally, I feel poly is more durable which is nice when there is frost heaving, but have never done a residential install with pvc, so really I do not know for sure which is better." Hopefully that helps..
Hey, to be honest, i got an amazing deal from my Buddy so didn't feel comfortable.. but I probably could have given a ball park.. what I should have said, is get 3 quotes from reputable installers in your area.. then price out just the parts.. you will save a ton doing it on your own. But you need a lot of time.. prices are also going to depend on your location. Sorry I wasn't more help..
Haha, well, hiring someone would be much easier than doing it yourself.. but, if you want to save money.. all the info is in this video to do it yourself.. if you're not an electrician or a plumber, some of this stuff requires a permit. So you have no choice but to hire it out.

Thanks! Was a fun project.. lawn os gonna look like a golf course soon 😁
I haven't paid a "contractor" ever. I can't watch another man work while I sip coffee. I don't know how. Thanks for the info.
Haha I hear ya. Thanks for watching and thanks for the comment.
So you used 1" Poly for main lines and 1/2" funny pipe. With the quick tap saddle tees. Missing in the parts list. Thanks!
That's correct. 1” poly to saddles then funny pipe. Sorry I missed that one.
I would say hire a pro lol That is a ton of work. Glad to see a new vid.

@@bradsprojectsandstuff Look forward to it! This time lunch is on me.
Hey Brad, what’s the advantage of using Poly pipe over PVC that’s commonly used?

Hahha thanks man.. yes, good guess. Where I'm from they never taught me proper English 🥲
Great vid! Why did you withhold the price or ballpark price you paid?

Checklist in description no longer works. Can you fix that?
Sorry about this.. I'll be home in a couple of hours and get the link fixed.
Hey Zach.. Just fixed this for ya.. Sorry for the delay and any inconvenience.. let me know if you have any other questions. happy to help..
How much did this cost??
Under 5k to DIY. Over 10k to pay the pros..
