A mention that I'd like to throw out in the RD-704's direction; because the gun can be dropped from raiders and rogues while also being able to be put on the flea, the avg price of a broken RD is around 80k-ish, but if you filter by 100% dura, you'll quite often find people selling full dura RD's at broken value. I've picked up a handful of RD this way to fuel my newfound addiction for this short-king. Loud with archangels stock for that sweet 80 ergo.
Ironically the AKM, mutant and 704 are very well balanced against each other like you said. Shame the AK 103 and AK 104 are left behind but they would be super similar if they could also take the same muzzle devices and the zhukov stock anyways. We need more natural differences than just recoil and ergo for barrel lengths like an aiming deadzone mechanic that works of the center of mass for each gun so it cannot be cheesed!
when you shoot enough rifles/carbines in real life with good technique and shouting fundamentals they all start to feel the same with the exception of recoil, ergonomics(which irl is largely user preference so it does not count) and weight balance. some guns are heavier u[p front vs in the back. otherwise most firearms firing a intermediate rifle caliber are all very similar because all of the rounds they fire are similar
There's actually an even better looking and identical stats build for the MK47 that I never see anyone running. Change the RSASS handguard out for the AR-10 Noveske SWS N6 handguard, and put the CQR foregrip on it. Now you've an all grey/black Mutant that looks unique and absolutely fucks
I wanted to stick to the 103 but in my testing I didn't realize that the AKM took the 308 muzzle adapter. Guess I'll be switching out my 7.62x39 main gun then. Thanks for this video!
been seeing a lot of success running a light M4 build for leveling endurance or a somewhat budget AK-101 build landing at like 55-60 ergo with suppressor and 48 recoil. it's bridging the gap for me between running 7.62 PS and the eventual BT
If you consider the barter trade for the AKM (around 36K) for me its become the go to. you can get it pimped out (loud) for a little over a total of 100K. For me that value is unbeatable
I looted a semi modified RD-704 from a weapons crate the other day and damn it feels fine to use added a grip and laser and iv been popping heads the few raids i used it, still got it but been doing bolty tasks
A few notes... on the 704, the Tango Down Pistol grip is exact same stats as the Scorp grip and available from Skier lvl 2 8600rub On all of these 7.62x39 guns... the AKMS Al magazines are the same stats as the US Palm AK30 magazines seen here. The load unload modifier is only -5% but you get a check ammo speed modifier of -5% . Prapor lvl3 for 3600
Yeah stats mean nothing, you need to shot them all against a wall and examine the spread. The 556 Scar is a good example, stat wise it should worse the the 556 Ak but in reality it’s better.
idk why i watch these videos as i never use meta weapons that ive built lol i just use budget or effective weapons and take meta weapons from the people i kill but love the videos anyway
same. also whenever i play with shit gear i am forced to play more cautiously and usually wreck everyone somehow and leave the raid with 50+ kg fully stacked. when i play meta weapons and sick gear i run in like rambo and get headshot in the first minute of the raid.
Tbh, I'm exhausted of the 7.62 meta. They even buffed PS for...no reason, really. We already had to deal with 7.62 meta last wipe and partially the wipe before that. We need something new man.
What the difference, there's always gonna be something "best" to deal with. 4 wipes ago it was fal, then it was vector with pbp, then laser m4s and hks. Nature of this game is that ttk is so low that any endgame scenario just drops you in split second. For me personally doesn't matter what head eyed me tbh... I prefer how 7.62 guns sound compared to 5.56 so im gucci

It is very annoying that rd704 u can use 50 rounders but with mutant u have to use 40 rounders (they take 3x1 space so you are very limited in rigs) or slap 1 73/75 rounder +1 30r mag
+2 ergo for double the price, not saying it might not be worth using if you want to really min/max but that's up to you. I always forget about that one, I like the scorpius
The AS VAL can easily compete and out beat the Mutant where a CQC full auto spray in concerned, The Mutants rate of fire is 600 rpm, the AS VAL fire rate is 900 rpm. VAL BP GS ammo does 14 more damage then MAI AP and only has 3 less pen at 55. If the two weapons met in a LABS stairwell with equal skilled operators with none having the advantage, or similar CQC scenario I believe it would be the guy with the VAL carrying out the others guys mutant to use, lose or sell.

After almost 6 years of playing i can say that i killed 100's of PMC's who were my better in almost every regard, I just got drop on them, because a foot scuff betrayed them or i heard their movement and knew where they were going. But my post states the impossibility of both PMC being identical in skill, knowledge, etc. the only difference is one is using the mutant the other a VAL. The Val in superior in numbers, its undeniable. The post isn't who has more skill, The gun is less important in a face off at that point. Love the vids, just one question are those builds viable with Ps, I'm near lvl 40 (36 ATM) but the Bp ammo are lock behind grenadier quest, AKA the worst quest. Just wondering, is those builds are fine with ps, or I should just stick to other ammunition caliber for now
PS is alright, but will struggle against T5 armor. If its all you have just focus on headshots or big mag dumps. A good trick is to load mags with 20PS first then 10BP on top. Helps ration that ammo out big time
I think they surely need to add 30 rounders to Scar-H and MDR 7.62 to make them comparable to AK's. Because actually these too guns are too fucking expensive, but you're still better to buy a damn ak.
Well now at 0.13 is 7.62x39 dead platform due to nerf of BP ammo. :-) Sadly. Times where everyone using those 5.56 guns and all that 7.62x39BP was cheap af is gone :(
why everybody says it's easy to find in raid? I am day 1 this wipe and thus far i have found ZERO 76239 BP in raid (I prioritize ammo spawn above anything else too).
It's "easy" in comparison to other ammo types because the AKM is common. I am also including killing PMC's and extracting their mags or ammo which is a very good way to build up big supplies
Yea I didnt miss a part and Im getting max 78 recoil on meta akmn, its hard to miss a part if the only things that decrease recoil are the suppressor, stock, and the handguard.
Because 556 (M4 & HKs) were the only guns used for years... sure there was a time when the VAL was completely broken and then the vector but other than that 556 has always been the best caliber for the end game.
the issue i see is that 7.62 gets great full auto performance when 5.56 and 5.45 feel respectively way too high recoil and way too weak flesh damage, i wish they made 7.62 meta builds require more tap firing
The current recoil patterns for 7.62x39mm AKs are fine and perfectly realistic, the real sin is the that the recoil on 5.56 guns are way too high and unrealistic. They should have just gone back to the old recoil system before they put in this ridiculous nonsensical first few shots through the ceiling that has no realism behind them at all.

7.62x39 right now has a serious advantage over the other comprable calibers because the round pens arms and then hits the body behind, stopping arm tanking is crazy strong. The weapons are far too stable in full auto compared to rival cartridges.
How can you guys afford this kind of prices. I mean some of the armour is over 200k and the gun at 300k. I once had 300k gear on me and I got 1 shoted by a dude with M61 ammo. Did not even see him! I am new player btw but still, I cannot imagine myself in these kind of gear!
i like the 7.62 calibers but i am really bored of only 2 calibers that are meta like 7.62x39 and 51 nato these semi automatic dmrs shouldnt be used at close quarters combat and those weapons being good at close range makes me barely see any smgs like mp5 or vector with good ammo, its either leg meta or just a guy with pst who wants to run it on factory, this game needs to balance all guns for different fighting situations!
i feel like the issue for 9mm is more the availability of the ammo, if i could buy more than 90 rounds every reset id be more inclined to use it. MPX and suppressed MP5 have been doing great for me in mid game this wipe

I think a lot of it has to do with how damage has to work in games. When we have number based HP, weapons that kill in less hits pretty much always end up being better.

I use the exact same attachments and don't see how your getting your recoil numbers that low. Also the 308 suppressors literally have the same stats as the other suppressors except maybe 2 percent less recoil.

@@drunkpunk5393 just go stock akmn with pso if worried. Throw on a paca for shotgun scavs and 1 spare mag and youre good to go. Dirt cheap always get it back in insurance. There are so many static spawns for scavs on shoreline which are easily taken out from distance. They respawn so just run from one to the other netting 2-4 kills each spot. Generally pretty safe if you dont go into pier or resort.

Akmns smooth feel will never be beat for me although i do love jamming mk47 barrel into people and dropping them in 2 bullets with high fire rate

You can use 556 with a competitive time to kill too though. Some guns faster ttk than the AKs

It's "easy" in comparison to other ammo types because the AKM is common.
I am also including killing PMC's and extracting their mags or ammo which is a very good way to build up big supplies

Yea I didnt miss a part and Im getting max 78 recoil on meta akmn, its hard to miss a part if the only things that decrease recoil are the suppressor, stock, and the handguard.
What I dont understand is why the guns in this caliber are allowed to dominate this much or have this much support.
Because it's a russian game, and the devs are simping for 7.62 Soviet

Because 556 (M4 & HKs) were the only guns used for years... sure there was a time when the VAL was completely broken and then the vector but other than that 556 has always been the best caliber for the end game.
the issue i see is that 7.62 gets great full auto performance when 5.56 and 5.45 feel respectively way too high recoil and way too weak flesh damage, i wish they made 7.62 meta builds require more tap firing
The current recoil patterns for 7.62x39mm AKs are fine and perfectly realistic, the real sin is the that the recoil on 5.56 guns are way too high and unrealistic. They should have just gone back to the old recoil system before they put in this ridiculous nonsensical first few shots through the ceiling that has no realism behind them at all.
@@TheHandgunhero I honestly don't care about realistic or not, at this point it's just personal opinion, what i care about is balance, and the old recoil system made full auto dominate everything, right now full auto dominates cqb, but it rughtfully falls off at medium and long range, except for 7.62 meta builds
@@bobybot9320 Full auto dominates and should dominate gunfights within 150m. Contrary to popular belief, competent shooters with training can absolutely fire effectively in fully automatic fire within that distance with intermediate cartridges like we see in EFT.

7.62x39 right now has a serious advantage over the other comprable calibers because the round pens arms and then hits the body behind, stopping arm tanking is crazy strong. The weapons are far too stable in full auto compared to rival cartridges.
Also cheap to build a good build, which is a real advantage early game
How can you guys afford this kind of prices. I mean some of the armour is over 200k and the gun at 300k. I once had 300k gear on me and I got 1 shoted by a dude with M61 ammo. Did not even see him! I am new player btw but still, I cannot imagine myself in these kind of gear!

i like the 7.62 calibers but i am really bored of only 2 calibers that are meta like 7.62x39 and 51 nato
these semi automatic dmrs shouldnt be used at close quarters combat and those weapons being good at close range makes me barely see any smgs like mp5 or vector with good ammo, its either leg meta or just a guy with pst who wants to run it on factory, this game needs to balance all guns for different fighting situations!
i feel like the issue for 9mm is more the availability of the ammo, if i could buy more than 90 rounds every reset id be more inclined to use it. MPX and suppressed MP5 have been doing great for me in mid game this wipe
@@xtwcxnoodles i completely agree, but the panestration value on the ap 6.3 barely scratches and its price is not even worth it, literally ps12b that ash-12 bullet that can 1 tap thorax with level 4 armor is cheaper than a smg bullet that scratchs level 4 i know its high fire rate but i cant be convinced why AP 6.3 is so expensive for literally 90 bullets which is like 2 drum mags that get dumped into a person, so like 30 rounds while spraying a person is a kill, not counting the loss when u die of the ap and not counting the time to kill on that thing, i am too tired of the meta guns they are too boring man....
I think a lot of it has to do with how damage has to work in games. When we have number based HP, weapons that kill in less hits pretty much always end up being better.

I use the exact same attachments and don't see how your getting your recoil numbers that low. Also the 308 suppressors literally have the same stats as the other suppressors except maybe 2 percent less recoil.

punisher part 1 you will likely have at max lv2 traders and therefore around 80recoil on akm, a far cry from meta. Also you are just hitting scavs. So throw on a suppressor if you want to be stealthy and a cheap optic and boom, quest done in a few chill raids.
@@Danfeop no. im not throwin on a suppressor that ill lose within the first few mins of the raid lmao first 2 attempts i ran a budget ak with some attchments. then the next 5 or 6 raids was a naked pmc with a naked akm becuz that shit is ass and not enjoyable at all. lmao optics didnt help. atttachments didnt help. sprinting for the scavs before other pmcs were around cuz i had a 25k akm and 10k in ammo n mags was by far the most effective way to do it. trash asf gun. i aint dumpin no 250k for meta garbage.
@@drunkpunk5393 just go stock akmn with pso if worried. Throw on a paca for shotgun scavs and 1 spare mag and youre good to go. Dirt cheap always get it back in insurance.
There are so many static spawns for scavs on shoreline which are easily taken out from distance. They respawn so just run from one to the other netting 2-4 kills each spot. Generally pretty safe if you dont go into pier or resort.
@@Danfeop yea i learned. going in with a budget kit akm it got lost quick cuz the other players are rushing scav s[awns too. so i went in naked with a naked scav akm after 2 or 3 raids and got it done in the next 4 or 5 raids lol not worth the time to try hard on that pos task.
