Welcome to the HEXCOM project, a mission-based Dungeons & Dragons 4th Edition game mode that merges fantasy wargaming roots with modern technology. Think fantasy special weapons and tactics, lair assaults, and sword & sorcery fireteams. At the heart of HEXCOM is Appendix X, a super-advanced computer system that generates and issues verifiable encounters to HEXCOM members. Each operation adheres strictly to the DMG p. 193 rules for random encounter generation and is described by evocative flavor text. Accurate treasure parcels are included in each level encounter using DMG p. 126 rules. Teams can be assembled from a pool of characters, or special forces from custom builds can be deployed.
