- Like many other traditional Chinese games, Mahjong has a wide variety of forms which make things somewhat difficult to find the definitive set of rules. There are nearly 100 rules in different regions across China. The rules given here are based on the original Chinese game which is the simplest and probably the most skillful.
We will make 3 videos to teach you how to play Mahjong: Learn about Mahjong, create melds and win a game.

Can you claim a "Kong", if you already have an exposed 3 of a kind from a previous "Pong"?
Yes, you can claim a 'Kong' (or 'Gang' in Chinese) if you already have an exposed 3 of a kind from a previous 'Pong'. This is known as a 'Ming Gang' (明杠) in Mahjong."
May I enquire how do you start a game involving the dice, and how can you know who starts the game, and who sits where on the table.
To start the game, four players throw the dices to determine fours sides as East, South, West, and North. Then throw the diced one by one, who gets the highest number sits at East side, and will start a game.
