Sir your way of explanation was great but somehow you misunderstood the ending... The man was not trying to fix the rope he was actually trying to cut it so that the train can pass... And the line "he was a big man" Confirms that he was jugga only ... He was successful in cutting the rope but he lost his own life as the train went over him. This just explained his character beyond being a "badmash".

After i complete my reading on this book and listening this all the unclear interpretation became clear.

Sorry to say that but,
the ending is too different than what you have given the explaination..
If you observe in detail then you will get to know a lover is sacrificing his life to save his beloved ( the girl whom he was in love and she was pregnant and it was second month when she discovered. Daughter of iamam baksh, Nooran. And many other things.
It's not indicate in the novel but says that the guy who was trying to crop the rope was Jagga singh.
But overall you have narrated the story too good sir🎉❤️

With due respect sir ......u missed the heart of the story while narration....the last page of novel clearly suggests that there was a man (JAGGA) who fought against the odds and he cut that rope which was tied to kill the people on the train.........do read it properly.
