Khushwant Singh was extraordinary, incomparable. His death is a great loss to this subcontinent. May God bless his soul.
I vaguely remember having seen the Grand Old Man on the TV sometime ago, explaining trees and the terrain of Delhi, including Lodhi Garden.
Thank u very very much Rajesh ji for taking initiative to upload this programme on you tube
Thanks. Please watch next show on Amrita Preetam
Please watch next episode on majrooh sultanpuri on rajya sabha television.
wonderful show
actual "salam" to producer of the show, who wisely documented and presented the entire narration of Delhi's living writing phantom.. :)
Next episode on Great Journalist and Editor SP Singh.
Excellent, very informative and inspiring. Although I am already impressed by the great writer yet this ~1 hr program gave a lot of new information for me. The birth place "Hadali" is near Khushab on Sargodha - Khushab - Mianwali road perhaps saying in between Lahore and Rajistan do not give the right location. I vividly remember Khushwant ji visiting this place (my village is near by) ... as he himself stated in his interview shown in this documentary. Although it do not make much difference, where "Hadali" is located, yet for the coming generations may be much better. (The map shown for a very short time gives the right location )
Thanks Akram. Have you some video or photos of Khushwant of his Hadali's visit.
Dear Rajesh, Unfortunately no pic or video with me. :(
next episode on gurudev ravindra nath taigore
RIP ! Khushwat Singh Ji

Great & Rangeen Man Khushwant Singh Ji Very Nice
Have read him extensively, relished and admired his weekly column "with malice to one and all". Had the opportunity to teach the text of his short stories in school curriculum, have a collection of his translations of Urdu poetry, his sense of humour touched me through his writings and admire the self donned persona of Wine, women and dirty old man to shock the world. His vibrant love of life rubs on a reader as if one had met him in person. He was indeed Khush - Want, and as fearless as Singh, a lion.
hat's off!!
Great Man B-)
Great work. I visited India for the first time a few months ago and bought his book.
A truly great man. Hats off to him
after hearing and seeing this video i m just wonder to hear indian first primeminister the thing which wonder me is the language he was speaking. was he speaking hindi
of cours he was speaking hindi because he was indian pm but the language he was speaking is not the language speaking by todays indian leaders. i dont know y peoples in india or indian leaders has some problem with urdu which only difference with then hindi was only writing script.
but the hindi we are listening now a days is totaly different with the hindi speaking by indian leaders till indra gandhi.
I wish to congratulate Rajya sabha television and Shri Rajesh Badal for this excellent programme.
VERY INTERESTING,SUPERBLY MADE,BETTER IF MORE ELABORATED ON HIS LIFE .

why you included this cheap Shobha de's comment in this doucmentary on the great Khushwant Singh. Shobha De's english is very ordinary her pronunciation is horrible, in this very document she pronounced word 'Novel'' wrongly, she pronounced it as "NAUVEL" but it's correct pronunciation is "NAUVAL". this Shobha De is publicity hungry, least ordinary and merely read author.
