That plastic hook at the front pocket is incapable of scratching your phone as it is made of a softer material, also you can shove it into one of the slip pockets rather than hanging it outside.

So here's the thing - I'm off on a holiday and looking to purchase an EDC to hold various small items including a Fujifilm X100V, small water bottle, and glasses. I purchased the Bellroy Venture Sling 6L and think it looks great but is a bit smaller than I imagined tbh considering the 6L size mark. For example, the Peak Design Everyday Sling 3L camera bag - yes 3L - (superbly made also) has almost the EXACT same dimensions, looks able to store pretty much exactly the same amount of items and is extremely well crafted with comparable weather resistance etc - BUT quite a bit cheaper. Why is the Bellroy so much more expensive and named 6L, when the Peak Design of the same size is 3L ??????? Is there something odd going on???
Not sure. Perhaps an answer only Bellroy can answer. I guess Bellroy brand is stronger than Peak Design so they can call for higher price. Majority of Peak Design are designed for camera gears (less common less demand) where as Bellroy venture sling 6L is for anybody. What I suspect is because of the shape of Peak Design are able to hold your Fujifilm camera and all other items better. 3L 6L 9L bags sizes are just rough guides I suppose. Judging from so many sling bags I have used, Peak Design 3L might be understated size, or maybe Bellroy is overstated size. Don't know. I wonder if others has any other opinions.

I bought this sling and the AER day sling 3, I'm sending the bellroy venture back for these reasons: no carry handle is annoying, no divider for the ipad mini means anything else I put scratch the ipad, no hidden back pocket for a passport when travelling, the sleeves inside are on the wrong side so any items dig into the ipad mini. There's a lot to like, I prefer the look, I like the soft straps that detach easily, I like the compression system keeping it lower profile, but the above are dealbreakers for me :(
Very good review of this sling bag. I bought the sling lite and that one is a 7L, maybe it may be able to accommodate most of your tablets.

I was just trying out the tablets for my viewers to gauge the size of this venture sling, i don't normally carry my tablet in this sling. I use my Alpaka Bravo X to carry my tablet. I was thinking to get a small bag that can carry small items like my powerbank, pen, a tshirt maybe AND a most important a small water bottle.
I had watched this earlier and thought to check again and voila you are keeping a waterbottle there in the very first minute!! 😄
But unfortunately not inside the sling :\
Maybe a 10L bag will do me better. Do you know of any such bags which can fit into my main backpack too when needed? Like the sling does?

Hi N U, yes this sling can take an average water bottle like I demonstrated in the video. In fact you should be able to fit all the things you mentioned, a water bottle, powerbank, pen and even a t-shirt (rolled up) into this sling. However, after that you won't be able to put anything else. I suggest getting the 9L version and you should still be able to fit the 9L into a back pack. My crumpler backpack is a small one in the video and this venture sling 6L only fills up 70% of the internal compartment height, so pretty sure 9L can go in as well.
You mentioned 10L. Note that the Venture sling 10L ( amzn.to/43KAgvV ) is designed to carry camera gears so I don't think it's suitable for you.

And the version I have got in the video is the 6L. So I think 9L will suit you just right.
I’ve seen alot of Reddit posts that show those fancy little buckles are a weakness. They tend to break and it’s apparently not covered by their warranty.

Nice looks like an iPad mini will fit as it’s 19.5 x 13.5cm
If one of the sides is longer, then I am not sure, but if the iPad mini is 19.5 x 13.5, both the length and breath are shorter than 24.8 x 15.3, so yes it should fit.
It does fit without much issue (I have it in Night Sky).
Don’t like the opening on each side when the zipper completely closed. What is the point? Is there any chance cause the small items falling out?
It allows the widest opening point to be at either side of the zipper to reach the corner inner pockets. With traditional zippers coming together to close, the widest opening is always and only at the center of the zipper. So far small things hasnt fallen out yet, even when i forgot to zip up sometimes.

Can i fit a mirrorless camera?
Hi Dave, yes my Sony ZV-E10 with its kit lens can fit in easily and there are still room to spare. I am just wondering how I can add dividers to compartmentalise for my ZV-E10 so it doesn't move around or get damaged with other things in the sling.

@@luchiu8 I might have found my solution. www.amazon.com.au/gp/product/B09Q3DM3S9/ I bought this camera bag where it's inner dimension seems like custom made for Sony ZV-E10, and the outer dimension should fit snugly into this Bellroy Venture 6L sling. Best part is this pouch still has room to expand if I upgrade my ZV-E10 kit lens to Sigma 18-50mm lens. Getting it this weekend, and if it fits, I might make a quick extension video to share with everyone. Are you also using ZV-E10 or another mirrorless camera?

@@luchiu8 I just received the SmallRig pouch from Amazon. It doesn't fit vertical as I have planned, but at least it fits horizontally, and the whole pouch can go into my Bellroy venture 6L Sling.
