Be aware they will charge you again if you haven't "dissolved" your business or got a new registered agent. I canceled everything last year, turned off auto renew and thought I was done. Until I got a $230 charge for registered agent, that they refuse to refund and won't stop charging me annually until I get a new one.

I feel so discouraged now. I just spent $349 for the LLC in Florida plus $119 for business documents a few days ago. I thought I was getting my EIN included but then they say it's $99 after I thought I was paying for it. I will say they call me a lot and seem very friendly, but I am losing money from them and now don't know what to do since these are all sunk costs. I still have my LLC formed and a friend said I can apply for a free EIN now through the IRS. I really wish I did more research before buying because now I just feel lost and don't even want to continue. I just wanted to create my LLC to be able to build business credit while I'm in College with my EIN and be able to grow. I still have my LLC, but they keep asking me for more money. If anyone has guidance I would greatly appreciate it

Depends on how you’re setup. If you have an LLC get a biz bank account and get checks and you can simply write yourself a check. That way there’s a ledger of that in your account and you can cleanly move it from your biz account to your personal. You could also do this via bank transfer too. If you’re setup as an s-Corp or other entity you may need to run payroll to pay yourself and then do distributions. Not a CPA but this is how I’ve been advised.

Taior charges $225/annual for the LLC to do a compliance report, but the state we live in does't charge for one... so it's like throwing $$ in the trash
So every service will charge a service fee for filing your annual report on your behalf. It’s separate from the filing fee. But $225 is really high for that service. Would you mind sharing a screenshot of that if you can? Bizee is $99 for the same service fee.

Yes you can. You can use them for registered agent (won’t be free first year if it’s not in a package) or renewals or other services too. However if you’re worried about the cost I’d go silver package and get your ein and bank account setup on your own.
@@HC-ov2hh wiser is subjective right? I think there are pros and cons of going with the local bank vs big bank. The local bank is more relationship driven but may not have as good of a tech stack. My credit union option didn't have a mobile check deposit feature so I wasn't interested. The other thing BofA has is that they're huge. So it's hard to fail like SVB did. But I'll say they have their fair amount of issues too. For some reason they can't figure out how to get autopay setup again on business credit cards which is infuriating.
Unless you like giving away money do it yourself this gets way to expensive for things you can do yourself with very little work involved especially them setting up your virtual mail .. an absolute joke and 2 businesses days and still don’t have my LLC

If you’re referencing incfile the answer is right now it’s just Bank of America. I’d recommend going for the silver package and then doing add ons like EIN etc.

If you’re selling physical products and not sure how you will generate traffic and demand I’d look into Etsy or Amazon as those platforms have built in demand if you can figure out your listings. It’s a give/take thing. Shopify you have the highest earning potential as the platform isn’t eating up your margins like Etsy and Amazon will. But there isn’t a sea of people on the platform where your product can show up and get sales. On the flip Etsy and Amazon have massive amounts of people on the platform with stored credit cards but they’re going to eat into your margins for that. So I’d asses your situation. What type of products are you selling and what kind of platforms make sense for that. Then just be honest and figure out how good you are at creating demand with marketing. To me the play is a platform with users built in and figure that out then graduate to your own online store on something like Shopify once you figure out how to drive sales on an Amazon/Etsy type platform.
It depends on the liability. If you're selling sports cards that's different than reselling something that could cause harm in some way. Another thing to consider is that at year end if you made really good revenue you can reclassify your LLC with an S-Corp election. Your accountant can help you with those kinds of things but you'd need the LLC setup to be able to do that. It may benefit you tax wise. If you're just planning on making a few thousand dollars reselling harmless products it may not be worth the time/money.

if you have a ssn or itin yes, but you also need an address (many don't accept PO boxes). You can rent a box with a physical one from a private business to receive the mail, or ask a friend. You don't need a visa tho.
They are absolute scammers. Charged over 600 dollars and cannot even get an EIN done. They loop and waste not only your time but money. They can't even draft a company with the right names or anything. Please save your money and time. It's extremely frustrating, and don't even give a refund.

Continue with your business. It’s still legit. Go over EVERYTHING. Keep your LLC open and conduct your business. Don’t allocate anymore money to them.
How long did it take you to form your LLC? Was it faster or longer than standard times?

Thankfully in my state you don’t have to renew or pay to maintain your LLC. Just the filing fee to create it.

It could just be state delays or it could be TB is behind. Hard to say.

incfile - annual report of $99 optional - does this include the state fee? Im in NJ and it says it costs $75 to file.
I believe their annual report fee is $99 + state fee. So about $174 in NJ based on what you shared.

Sorry to hear this. That’s my biggest complaint is even just finding actual pricing requires an email to support. It’s very hidden.
